Re: [Serusers] ASTERISK+SER+MWI
What's wrong with ARA (asterisk realtime architecture) from voip-info: Asterisk, SER and MWI http://mail.iptel.org/pipermail/serusers/2004-December/013727.html Actually I wrote a patch for this and it supports ast_data too. What you do is tell asterisk that all of your phones IP addresses are your SER machine. Then when a message gets left Asterisk sends the NOTIFY to username at

where to buy a SIP phone or adapter in SFBay area?
I'd like to buy a SIP phone from a retail store, or from a local computer store in the south bay San Francisco area. Can anyone suggest a place from which I can make such a purchase? So far, I've only found online. Thanks. -alan

ser --> sip.conf --->extensions.conf, variable context
Hi If I have ser sending calls to asterisk, is there a way to get a different block called in sip.conf for each call (based on some variable, NOT username, From:), if not and they all hit one block which has contect=abc, then when that context is called/matched in extensions.conf, how can I have diff features for various groups of users. EG lets say I have a large company with 4 departments

FXO/FXS suggestions:
I'm looking for a zaptel type device with one (or more) FXO and one (or more) FXS port. Basically this guy would sit in-line of your phone line (PCI card). Any suggestions? TDM400 would be overkill. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/attachments/20050515/d66e6335/attachment.htm

re tail case-pack ordering problem - can R help?
I'm a programmer, not a mathmatician. I heard about R, and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if there is an existing R function that can help with a problem we're currently trying to find an algorithm for. If R is not the answer, but you can recommend a known algorithm, that would help a lot! I'm on a project in a retail corporation, working on a program to assist retail buyers

Windows licensing for Xen
Hello all, My apologies if this is a FAQ; I was not able to find the answer in any existing documentation. Furthermore, I know it''s not germane to Xen itself, but I''m hoping that someone else''s knowledge can save me a little bit of time. :-) In order to run Windows (XP, 2003, etc.) as a hardware-virtualized guest of Xen, is it necessary to purchase a retail-boxed

Re: Incoming echo cancel
Same problem here: if call come over ISDN PRI and it is for a SIP phone that equals to strong echo situation, at the SIP end. Interestingly this doesn't happen on all calls but it does on 95% of them. Asterisk load at that moment is insignificant - 1 to 2 calls. I have tried with all possible echo cancellers in zconfig.h, with and without MMX, and with and without CFLAGS+=-march=i686 in

snmp-ups sends status "OL OB" on HP R3000 UPS with AF465A management card
Hello list, I've installed NUT on an HP blade server, and I try to get it communicating via SNMP with 2 HP R3000 UPSes, each fitted with a AF465A management card. To do this, I used the snmp-ups driver, and configured it for the "cpqpower" MIB. Communication with the UPSes is established. My problem is that both UPSes constantly return the "OL OB" status which, in

snmp-ups sends status "OL OB" on HP R3000 UPS with AF465A management card [UPDATE]
Additional question: I noticed on the HP Website that the latest version of "CPQPOWER.MIB" (1.76, dated Sept. 19, 2013) was more recent than the related file (./drivers/compaq-mib.c) in the NUT driver. Is the MIB structure as implemented on the management card perhaps no longer in line with the NUT driver ? The latest MIB file can be downloaded from the following URL:

Cost of IP Phones, or Isn't It Just Software?
I took a little foray into pricing out IP Phones for my home pbx yesterday. $75-$750 seems to be quite a range, so I took a closer look. Cisco, for example, has different models such as the 7940 and 7960 which seem to only differ in the software. And buying a Cisco 7920 should cost you $500 w/o a license, and $200 more with a license? It seems to me that these prices are substantially

I believe some fixes were applied to the branch since your report (most visibly, about battery time settings), are you in position to test how it behaves now? :) Thanks in advance, Jim Klimov On Wed, Nov 22, 2023 at 3:20?PM Jim Klimov <jimklimov+nut at gmail.com> wrote: > Great!
