T.38 ATA
Hello all !
Can anyone recommend me ATA device that REALLY has T.38 built in.
So far I have heard of Telco Systems Access201, which seems to be
impossible to bye in Europe (all resselers are droped Telco systems ATAs for
some reason (tried in Germany and in UK so far)), and I have heard that
SIPURA SPA-2100 should have T.38 built in into newer firmware, but I wasn't
able to confirm that

Public phone
A client wants to put phones in a semi-public place, using a Calling
Card solution. What kind of hardware is suitable? I'm looking for a wall
mounted booth, a SIP phone that can't easily be broken, but I might just
use cheap analog phones and a channel bank.
What do you suggest for the calling card software?
This installation will be outside the US.

CDR problem - incorrect time
We have a billing system that depends on the CDRs. We had a guest that
made a one minute call to a local cellphone, this call went out Zap
channel through our channel bank. The CDR recorded a 200 minute call,
but I checked with the Telco's records and it had terminated after one
minute. What can cause this and what can I do to prevent it?

Visual ring notification
I have put a pbx into a resort with Polyycom phones, everythign works
great, except the kitchen staff cannot hear the phone ring. I know many
legacy systems employ a big red flashing light, any ideas on doing
something similar?

SPA-3000 and incoming faxes
I've been running with a generic X100P for 5 or so months and every once
in a while I have problem receiving faxes. I see that others have the
same problems and some worse than I have with these boards so I was
wondering if using a Sipura SPA-3000 would be any more reliable.
Has anyone had enough experience to tell me if that would definitely fix
the random fax error.

Polycom phones w/ two lines on different servers
Hi all -
This isn't really directly Asterisk related, but has anyone successfully
set up a Polycom phone to register two lines on two different Asterisk
boxes? I can get the first line to register, but the second one does not.
I can still place calls from that second line, which indicates to me the
server, user, and secret are correct. I'm running the newest 2.6 series
firmware with the

Getting Yoda unit to register all four ports
I have a sample of the Yoda VG400 and I am having a devil of a time
trying to get all four channels to register to Asterisk. I have an
Asterisk 1.2.1 server.
I have tried adding one at a time and rebooting it, but it stops after
the first.

Sipura 1001 Adapter with two lines using one RG11 jack
Hi,
I've Sipura 1001 phone adapter. In the settings it has separate Line 1
and Line 2 tabs, which apparently means it can control two separate
phone lines. I've Asterisk@Home server and want to setup two different
extensions for two phones, i.e. 201 and 202. After doing all this, I can
see in Info tab that both lines are registered but only one phone gets
the dials tone. Am I doing

Asterisk server with remote monitoringcapabilities
I would have to agree, an IAD locking up is bad either way you look at
it. Even if you're there to reboot it on demand, it takes nearly 5
minutes to come back up. What kind of servers are they? What kind of
phones? In all honesty, none of our IAD's ever lock up. And ones that
did were defective and replaced.

Potential reboot problem with Polycom IP600 phones
Passing this along. I got it tonight from a friend:
Basis Technology has uncovered a potentially serious issue with the
Polycom SoundPoint IP600 SIP phones, which causes them to spontaneously
reboot at unpredictable times. It appears that if the amount of current
being delivered to the phone falls below a certain threshold, the phone
will reboot.
Here are the specific circumstances which will

OT: PC network down if plugged in Polycom IP600
Hi all,
I dont know why, but if I plug my PC inside the 'PC' slot on my polycom,
this is not working. (Polycom IP600 is online on the net.)
I'm using normal network cables. (I see jumpers behind the phone... do I
need to play arround with that?)
Any help would be appreciated.
