similar to: NVidia Dual Head

Is there a way to use "Nouveau" (open source Nvidia) driver in CentOS 5 ? "nv" seems to support only the lowest resolutions thru the dvi output (NV44 chip), and I don't like the idea of installing propiertary Nvidia drivers. This way I came to Nouveau. I had a look at some Fedora rpms, but they needed something CentOS obviously doesn't have: # rpm -ivh

I have the same problem on the install disks and on the Live CD: The computer locks as soon as the Xserver starts. I end up with a blank screen (color varies) with a moving mouse cursor. I am able to use x11 with base driver "nv" but when I load "nvidia" driver, startx simply crash my machine and reboot after 5 seconds.
