-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi folks, I've installed dovecot 0.99.14 (last port on my freebsd system), and now I've to migrate from bincimap. My system uses qmail with vpopmail (uid/gid 89) and Maildir format. Well, now the authentication is ok, but when I try to connect to mailbox I receive an error like "IMAP command SELECT failed". Setting variable for a context for all extensions?
Hi, Is it possible to set a variable for a context for all extensions? I haven't been able to find it. I want something like this in extensions.conf: [from-iaxfwd] exten => .,1,RING=r3 exten => 123456,1,Goto(from-pstn,s,1) [from-internal] exten => .,1,RING=r2 include => ext-local [ext-local] exten => 1,1,Dial(Zap/1,${LONGTIMEOUT}) exten =>

[Possible SPAM] : about sip, asterisk and cisco ccme
I am starting to work on a similar solution, but with full call manager rather than CME. I am going to use Asterisk to accept POTS calls through PCI FXO ports (winmodems) and then forward the calls through to call manager via SIP. I don't have my FXO cards yet (waiting for UPS man!!) but I have * talking to the CM through SIP just fine. I am testing with the Cisco softphone, connected as a

RDNIS question
Perhaps I've got the whole concept wrong, but here goes: Using 1.4, when someone from the outside dials my direct line (123456), I want it to call my extension at work (SIP/456), my extension in my home office (vpn connection to corporate lan, SIP/678) and my mobile (654321). So my dialplan is thus: exten => 123456,1,Dial(SIP/456&SIP/678&Zap/G3c/07803654321,30) exten =>

Question about the 'fax' extension
I was looking at the wiki on 'Asterisk as a voice/fax switch' And was wondering if the extension 'fax' is global to extensions.conf Or just to the context it is in? The reason I ask, is that my PRI might have 5 channels that will be scrictly Fax, and to be functional, I need multiple 'fax' extensions in my various Contexts. Hope that makes sense, Paul Seniuk

Setvar SIP_CODEC
Hello, I have a couple of 7960 and a quad T1 card on my asterisk box. I want to let the phones to use g729 when they "talk" to each other, but to use g711 when I'm going to route the call out of my network using the T1 card. Everything works just fine between the phones, but in order to be able to make calls through T1 I have to disallow the g729. For this purpose I have the

about sip, asterisk and cisco ccme
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi folks, I would create a structure like this: external sip server \ external sip server |-----| Asterisk |------| Cisco CME |-------| ip phones | external sip server / I would use Asterisk as SIP client for some SIP accounts on external servers ... then register those via H323 (if possible; skynny?) on Cisco CME ... Then I would use Asterisk

ring groups with different caller id
Hello, I am in need of some assistance. We are trying to ring a number of SIP phones as well as cell phones. The problem is that the SIP phones show the callerid correctly, we want the cell phones to show callerid of the original DID that was called. This is to ensure that the person answering the cell phone knows how to answer it correctly. I know I can Set(CALLERID(name)=Some Text)

problems with Debian Sarge
Hi folks, I've updated my dovecot 0.99.14 with the last package (0.99.14-1sarge0), but it doesn't work. I've found that problem: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.debian.devel.bugs.general/80872 then I've removed that, and reinstalled first package (from /var/cache/apt/archives), and NOW it doesnt' work too :( When I start the daemon, I see in my logs: dovecot: May 31

R: Richiesta informazioni
Dear Andrea. Your request seems vague. And also: be careful, even if some of the people reading the list understand italian you are expected to post your requests in english. In short: read the FAQ and at least "An introduction to R". But you seem to be lucky, on the CRAN you will find a document by Vito Ricci, in italian, about time series analysis:

action at registering or de-registering

Kind regards, Hans

starting/stopping/registering Mongrel for HttpHandler
Hi. I am currently learning Ruby and writing an app that simply uses Mongrel''s HttpHandler class to create simple ruby servlets. At the end I have been using code similar to the example in simpletest.rb: h = Mongrel::HttpServer.new("0.0.0.0", "3000") h.register("/test", SimpleHandler.new) #h.register("/files",

OT? Creative Zen player not registering as a USB device
I plugged my son's new (Christmas) Zen V player into my CentOS 5.1 box and it doesn't register as a device that the system can see or mount. If I lsusb, it shows up as bus 2, device 8, but there is no corresponding /dev/??? device for it, so the system can't get at it. (I tried my flash drive in the same USB port and it works fine, so it's not the hardware.) How do I get around

Best practice for registering/discovering STI subclasses?
Folks, I''m fairly new to Rails, and I''ve Googled around for an answer to this question with no luck... Consider a little blog application that has uses single-table inheritance for the handful of different content types via a Content base class and subclasses like FooContent and BarContent. That part all works well for me. Now consider the view that presents actions to the

Registering OCX controls in Wine
Hi, I'm trying to get an in house app to run with Wine. The app in question is a VB6 application that uses a couple of third party controls (TrueDB Grid among them), and also uses the Microsoft OLEDb provider to connect to an Oracle database. It'd be really cool if I could get this to run on Linux. We have the source code and the developer in house, so can make small changes if
