SIP URI Dialplan?
I've got soft phone that allows me to dial SIP URI's. I'd like to
route these calls through a provider to be completed, because I'm
beind a NAT box and doing it directly doesn't work.
Right now I've got an extension defined like this:
Dial(IAX2/${FWDUSERID}:${FWDPASSWD}@${FWDSERVER}/**356<username>)
This will connect a call to FWD and call a user at FWD. It works

Sip.conf: domain=huh?
So I saw mention of a way to allow dialing using SIP URI's on Dave McNett's
site at http://slacker.com/~nugget/projects/asterisk/page7
Wow, awesome, I can call anywhere now. However, I think there is a more
elegant way of figuring out whether or not the local * server should handle
a given domain. Specifically, Dave compares a series of domains within
extensions.conf to figure out how to

Looking for a wireless phone... wifiortraditionalwireless ?
This senario works great! I have a Snom phone coupled with a Linksys Wireless game adapter. When on a event trip I was able to have the snom ring where ever there was a signal.
So the proof of concept passed.
Unfortunatly all the wifi phones I have read about seem to suck!

Looking for a wireless phone... wifi ortraditional wireless ?
In that example you could make outgoing calls only correct? (since incoming
likely needs port forwards)
I guess the questions becomes "how often are you going to do that to justify
the extra $100 or so you going to pay for a wifi sip phone?"

object class with STI and Polymorphic Assoc''s.
Hi, lets say I have a a table, "Linkings" that I am using for
polymorphic associations. One of the associations is to the "person"
table, and there are several other associations.
"Person" has 2 types, "slacker" and "suckup".
It is modelled as such:
class Linking < ActiveRecord::Base
belongs_to :person
belongs_to :linkable, :polymorphic

SSOAP: arguments passed as
Hi,
I have a SOAP service, provided by BioMoby
which I'd like to call via SSOAP.
My service breaks during genSOAPClientInterface()

Operation MassBank_Simple_2
Error: Cannot resolve SOAP type in empty context
Problem seems to be that there are no <types> defined in the WSDL,
and that the service passes input/output as a single

Problems making SIP URL outgoing dial
Hi,
I'd like to call my friends through their SIP URLs. I've found two
approaches for doing this in Asterisk:
- one is to prepend some numbers at start and catch them - the rest of
called string is used for SIP URL
- another approach (that I like better) is to use catchall pattern at the
end of context _. and then parse string with help of SIPDOMAIN variable. But
there is a catch into

Working cludge [Re: SSOAP fails with .types[[1]] : subscript out of bounds]

so, last post from here unless I can provide any more input

SSOAP fails with .types[[1]] : subscript out of bounds
Hi,
I am trying to create a BioMoby client in R using SSOAP.
BioMoby is a normal SOAP web service, with request
and response messages wrapped in BioMoby XML dialect.
Since the particular WSDL I am having problems with
is autogenerated and used similarly by *many* services,
it would be quite important to a) fix SSOAP or
b) fix the WSDL generator.
I am a bit lost how to continue debugging

[RFC/PATCH 08/15] kvm-s390: intercepts for privileged instructions
From: Carsten Otte <cotte at de.ibm.com>
From: Christian Borntraeger <borntraeger at de.ibm.com>
This patch introduces in-kernel handling of some intercepts for privileged
instructions:
handle_set_prefix() sets the prefix register of the local cpu
handle_store_prefix() stores the content of the prefix register to memory
handle_store_cpu_address() stores the cpu number of

SIP REGISTER script
Some of you have unusual SIP configurations, and this SIP perl script
may be useful to get remote devices registering with your Asterisk or
other SIP server. Most Cisco routers, as an example, are too stupid
to REGISTER, so this script would be required to dynamically register
them with a remote server. This may not be 100% applicable to
Asterisk, since static registrations are possible,

Dialling ZAP channel from analogue
Hi,
Asterisk Version : 1.2.15
Card : TDM11B (1 x FXO , 1 x FXS)
I have internal dialling working okay SIP->ZAP (analogue phone) and ZAP (analogue phone) -> SIP.
The problem comes when I try and make a outbound call.
Here is my extensions.conf :-
Code:
[incoming]
exten => s,1,GoToIfTime(17:00-09:00\mon-fri\*\*?outofhours|s,1)
exten => s,2,GoToIfTime(*\sat-sun\*\*?outofhours|s,1)

Using grid graphics (hexbin) in pairs() plot problem
Hi,
I am trying to create a plot with pairs()
using a gplot.hexbin() for each pair.
For pairs I can provide a custom upperPanel function:
pairs(iris[1:4], panel=mypanel)
and mypanel() calls plot.hexbin():
library(hexbin) # Bioconductor
mypanel <- function(x, ...){
hb <- hexbin(x)
plot(hb)
}
The problem is that gplot.hexbin() is based

Comparing execution times
Dear all,
In my 'simple' computer I was running some experiments to help me understand how faster a multicore lapply will be. I thought it might be interesting for some people to look at the results.
Even though are not accurate, still might be a good indicator how much improvement there can be.

Multiple instances of wine on different machines with $HOME on NFS
Hi,
we're running wine on a number of Linux machines
which get their $HOME via a NFS server.
In particular, we have a windows commandline program
(a data format converter for mass spectrometers, not that it matters)
things work fine as long as I am running only one instance of wine.
If I have several wine instances on different boxes
running in parallel, they seem to corrupt the
