FWD IAX Problem
Hi All, I am having trouble with receiving calls from FWD via IAX. I know this isn't a FWD support forum, but I suspect the problem is my asterisk setup. The problem is that I can dial out to fwd subscribers, even myself but they can't dial me using my FWD number. I don't know much about IAX, but it would seem to me like a registration problem, but I get no errors or warnings in

Diablo 2 with Battle.net - another step closer
I've finally found a crack for diablo 2 LOD that works no CD under win 98, AND works on battle.net!!!! However, I've been trying to get this to work under linux with no real sucsess, I'm using Codeweavers wine PR 4, (I've just started using this instead of the wine.tar.gz cos is seems easier to remove from a linux distro than the tar.gz version, but I suppose that's what

max / pmax
Hello R users, I am relatively new to R and cannot seem to crack a coding problem. I am working with substance abuse data, and I have a variable called "primary.drug" which is considered the drug of choice for each subject. I have just a few missing values on that variable. Instead of using a multiple imputation method like chained equations, I would prefer to derive these

Codecs and bandwidth
Hi Friends, Something I'd like to shed some light on if possible - how is it that a single ISDN conversation only uses 64K for bidirectional communication (using ulaw, correct?), but on several occasions now have seen references to ulaw voip conversations using 64K per side of the conversation, plus packet overhead (http://www.zytrax.com/tech/protocols/voip_rates.htm - seems to be down

DoW Soulstorm crack
I was wondering if anyone has been able to get DoW Soulstorm Running on their Wine. I've looked at several forum lines, and no one seems to have been able to crack it yet. From what i've gathered, the reason it wont work is because of the cd check. If i were able to crack the game so it didnt check for the cd, would it work then? I'm very new to Linux, so please post any replies with a

Breaking Windows XP user password?
Granted this is not a UNIX system, but in case there is a UNIX tool to accomplish the goal... I am looking for a bootable CD/DVD (or application to be placed on a CD/DVD to be made bootable) that can let me mount a Windows XP drive/partition (SP1 or SP2), and force-crack the admin password (even if admin account name has been changed, but I know what it has been changed to). The application

AGI STREAM FILE command
Has anyone had success with the AGI STREAM FILE command with the CVS? I can't get it to work with the debian 1.0.5 package or the CVS on Redhat or Debian. It's not syntax, I'm doing that right. It doesn't give me an error when I use AGI DEBUG, it doesn't even give a response, just goes right on to the next command. I put a "SAY NUMBER 123 #" before and after

things I miss in wine
Hi there, there are many issues in wine and you can work around most of them somehow but there are few that you can not bypass. Copy Protection: wine seems to support a few copy protection systems, but not all. No of course you could say that a nocd crack should be used to work around that issue, but what if there is none available? Many games are done for different countries in different

a few simple questions about upgrading an "official" centos 7 release
again, some fairly trivial(?) questions about working with centos 7.4, given my time immersed in fedora so i want to make sure i'm not carrying over any bad habits. first, is there anything untoward in updating an installed version of centos 7.4 with a simple "yum update"? i'm well aware of keeping in mind the goal of stability with centos, so am unsure what the philosophy is

Able to tell if phone is registered?
Hi All, I have a new asterisk setup running at home and am very happy with it. One thing that I am trying to do is to take various actions in the dialplan *if* a particular phone is registered/authenticated/connected. For example, if someone dials *me* and is shows that I am connected via my softphone, to try it instead of my deskphone (and possibly notifiy the user in advance that it is

Docs - QSG & Samples Issues
Attached is file "QSG-issues-1.0.txt" containing a numbered and commented list of issues collected from contributors and recent lists activity. It might be cool to have these issues in some spiffy issue tracking system like RT or something, but for a low tech start it''ll probably suffice. COMMENTS - IMHO (no particular order): I have searched the archives for additional

some basic questions
I'm seeking a small IMAP server, and dovecat was recommended by those more savvy than me. (The sign on my monitor is "My programming language is solder..") so I'll be getting help to deploy this, but first... I've read through the wiki docs but still have questions, ones likely too obvious for most readers.... There will be <100 users, the platform will Debian, and I
