Still no Broadvoice Outbound. (Bump)
I'm still not getting my outbound to work. I've seen two patches
relevant to broadvoice for chan_sip.c which apparently have already been
added to CVS. I'm dropping all outgoing calls after ~30 secs. Asterisk
doesn't seem to know they're gone though. I called my cell w/
broadvoice and turned on sip debug AFTer the call had physically dropped:
*CLI> sip show registry

Last guy to get BV working outbound?
I have tried everything to get BV working outbound. All worked fine
until the BV change last week. I called BV and they changed me to sip
gen with a new password. I stripped my Asterisk server to one phone on
Zap/1 until I get this working. The same BV account works fine with a
SPA-3000 so I don't suspect a firewall problem.
Symptoms: Asterisk registers with BV Ok
Incoming calls work

BV This morning
Last night everything was working perfectly. This morning I went to make a
call and got a message "the device you are using is not registered to make
calls on the network". Connecting direct to BV on X-Lite works fine. Any
ideas?

Asterisk --> BV: Incoming does not work....
Asterisk seems to register just fine with BroadVoice (asterisk -r, and
then sip show registry shows sip.broadvoice.com is "Registered")
...but when I try to call my broadvoice number (from a cell phone), it
rings one single time and then says "The party you are trying to reach
is not available to take your call." This doesn't seem to be an
Asterisk message but seems to be

his problems) is highly schizophrenic imho.
3 days ago hi signed his mail ''Kamala''

Intro for a new guy
Hi all,
Thought I''d send out a hello message - have just signed up to this
mailing list.
I work at a company providing dev services in Java and PHP and I''m
currently learning rails with the aim of persuading the rest of the
company to try it too.
Congrats on the 1.0 release, hope things just keep getting better as I''m
loving Rails so far :)
Cheers,
Kee

help a bald guy
Greetings listers,
I have been running 1.4.21 for about 7 months now,
but have been told I have to move up the 1.4 food chain or into the 1.6
chain because 1.4.21 is too flaky for our POTS line handling (does funny
things with echo, doesn't connect to external conference calls, etc.).
Which release will give me the most joy/least headache/closest performance

Please help the new guy (the s extension)
This may have been in the archives but I didn't see it. I have a new * setup
with the demo loaded and ready to go. when I dial in, I get "extension (my *
number) in context default from (calling number) does not exist" and it
denies the call. this is trying to use the "s" extension (default demo
extensions). if I configure an extension for my * 10 digit number it works

New guy on the block
Hi Randy,
Here's my advice - I'm a relative newbie myself but hopefully the
little I've learnt will be useful to you:
(1) Install icecast for the broadcasting, and also install "ices" for
the actual playing of the files. Use ices 0.4 if you want MP3, or ices
2 if you want Ogg Vorbis.
(2) Create a folder on your system, and in that folder store your
music - ideally,

New guy on the block
I am new to icecast. My home project is to stream some of my music
that I have composed over the Internet. If possible, if someone can
provide me some quick pointers ?
I would appreciate it.

Re: : External access to voicemail
Hello steve. Here is a patch I wrote for app_voicemail.c which does
exactly as you describe. When the outgoing message is playing, if the
listener hits the "*" key, they're prompted for a mailbox and password,
whereupon they can check their voicemail as if they were using the internal
phone. I found no other way of doing this.
If you patch your app_voicemail.c, I have V1.44 from

Sip phones on the same extension?
Hello. I'm a new Asterisk user, but I'm impressed with the
flexibility and versatility of Asterisk, and am moving quickly to adopt
it's main-line use in our company. Hopefully, you'll be hearing more from
me as the project moves forward.
Right now, though, I have a question about SIP peer registration.
Right now, for our SIP-based phone,s, we're using the Sip Express Router
