Agent won't log out!
Hey guys... one last thing.
I have set up agents in my Asterisk... and one agent refuses to log out.
I have tried to log out from Xlite. I have tried from the console...
AGENT LOGOFF 1001. It still gets the call.
If I shut down Xlite, it still tries to contact agent 1001, but gets a
congested message... if I bring Xlite back up, it gets the call. If I
kill Asterisk and restart... its _STILL_

Pattern Matching?
I need to deploy some quasi-virtual-PBXes, and I'd like to avoid having to
be hands on for each new phone number deployed... so I would like to set
up some administrative extensions that can record greetings... lets say:
[admin]
exten => 8(NXXNXXXXXX),1,Record($1|-greeting.gsm)
[incoming]
exten => _(NXXNXXXXXX),1,Playback($1|-greeting)
exten => _(NXXNXXXXXX),2,Goto($1,1000)

Stumped by BroadVoice SIP
Hello guys.
I am a fairly new user to Asterisk, and I'm just having a tough time.
My goal is to set up a VOIP PBX. I have signed up with a BroadVoice
number, and I have three systems with SIP phones.
The PBX and the SIP phones are all behind a Cisco PIX running NAT.
I am using Asterisk CVS version from yesterday. I also tried 1.0.3 with
little luck.
The SIP phones are two X-Lites on

Broadvoice issues
Hi all,
I signed up for BV over the weekend. I have set everything up as per
their howto. I can receive calls to my BV number but cannot make any.
I'm running CVS head 1/30/2005 so assume that the patch is already in my
code. Am I correct? Is it the patch that's stopping me from making calls?

Desperate question about MPXIO with ZFS-iSCSI
I''m trying to set up a iscsi connection (with MPXIO) between my Vista64 workstation and a ZFS storage machine running OpenSolaris 10 (forget the exact version).
On the ZFS machines, I have two NICS. NIC #1 is 192.168.1.102, and NIC #2 is 192.168.2.102. The NICs are connected to two separate switches serving two separate IP spaces.
On my Vista64 machine, I also have two NICs connected in

CentOS 5.9 Xen DomU NFS Data Transfer to Dom0 kills network.
Greetings,
I have problem using Dom0 as NFS(v4)-server and DomU as client. When
ever the client actually tries to copy data to nfs-server the virtual
network (bridge) between the two hosts completely freezes and stops
working. After this of course the client hangs waiting nfs-server to
answer and server continues to try to contact nfslock daemon on the client.
Dom0 is still accessible from

lmtp and virtual users
Good afternoon.
I have dovecot setup to authenticate virtual users using either gssapi
or doind a bind to an ldap server to achieve a single sign on capable
imap server connected to a samba active directory DC. What I am also
trying to achieve is to have dovecot's lmtp daemon handle the mails
passed from postfix. However, the only way I've gotten this to work is

argument names in generic print functions (PR#955)
Hello,
I think this is a bug, although it is possible that I'm doind something
silly.
I want to be able to determine the argument name for variables passed to

suppose we have

{
nm<-deparse(substitute(x))
cat("param name is ", nm, "\n")
}

Request for best practices
We are trying to implement "area-code dialing" in our asterisk PBX.
Basically: we will have a number of customers, who may be in different area
codes, that want to direct-dial each other's extensions. We want this to
work like a "real" centrex, in that seven-digit numbers should try (1)
"local" VoIP extensions, and then (2) "local" PSTN numbers.

lmtp and virtual users
Dear Aki, good afternoon.
Thank you very much for your response and thank you again for the tip on
how I could resolve this issue. The problem I'm facing is that I need
dovecot to serve emails with two different authorization methods for
imap and sasl, one through the kerberos ticket as in
https://wiki.dovecot.org/Authentication/Kerberos which I have working
but only with a static userdb and

Voicemail passwords located in #include file
Hello,
I have an #include file containing user voicemail configurations.
This works fine for the most part, but when a user changes their
password via the phone the #include file is not updated.
Is there a way to do this?
I have something like this:
In voicemail.conf:
[default]
#include "vmail_accounts.conf"
5551234567 => 0000, Customer, email@domain.com
5552234567 => 0000,

Fwd: lmtp and virtual users
Good morning.
I was just reading
https://wiki.dovecot.org/AuthDatabase/LDAP/PasswordLookups and found the
following statement

Is this still relevant? Is there a workaround? It seems like using
