Since you are switching compilers, why not switch to clang instead of llvm-gcc? Best regards, --Edwin

Experience with Promise Tech. arrays/jbod''s?
Greetings, In looking for inexpensive JBOD and/or RAID solutions to use with ZFS, I''ve run across the recent "VTrak" SAS/SATA systems from Promise Technologies, specifically their E-class and J-class series: E310f FC-connected RAID: http://www.promise.com/product/product_detail_eng.asp?product_id=175 E310s SAS-connected RAID:

[LLVMdev] warnings in inline assembly with used labels and -Wunused-label
Hi, llvm-gcc 4.2 generates warnings when I compile inline assembly code that contains used labels with -Wunused-label. The generated code seems to work yet. gcc 4.2 doesn't generate those warnings. I haven't found any bugs regarding this issue in the llvm bug database. Does anyone know if this is a known llvm issue? Is it a warning that I can ignore and does not affect the generated

Gzip compression for ZFS
Adam, With the blog entry[1] you''ve made about gzip for ZFS, it raises a couple of questions... 1) It would appear that a ZFS filesystem can support files of varying compression algorithm. If a file is compressed using method A but method B is now active, if I truncate the file and rewrite it, is A or B used? 2) The question of whether or not to use bzip2 was raised in the

[LLVMdev] gcc 4.2 to llvm-gcc 4.2 transition
Hi, I am currently studying the possibility to make the transition from gcc 4.2 to llvm-gcc 4.2 for the projects I am working on. These projects are huge projects, most of the source code is written in C++ but we have objc, c and assembly code. We are targeting MacOSX 10.5 and MacOSX 10.6. Our build system is currently running on MacOSX 10.5 and uses Xcode 3.1.4 with gcc 4.2. It is used to

MusicOnHold probelms
This is my second attempt trying to get help and I am hoping someone can. When the musiconhold extension is matched, Asterisk attempts to execute musiconhold and stops right away, this is what I gets: Executing MusicOnHold("OSS/dsp", "") in new stack -- Started music on hold, class 'default', on OSS/dsp -- Stopped music on hold on OSS/dsp Is there a file that

If there are some passes in LLVM do the opposite of the SROA(Scalar Replacement of Aggregates) pass
Hi LLVM developers, We tried to find if there are some passes in LLVM do the opposite of the SROA(Scalar Replacement of Aggregates) pass, but did not find one. Do we have this kind of pass to bring back the structure type? Or this is done separately in any transformation passes? Thanks, Lin-Ya -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Musiconhold interrupted sound
Hi, I don't seem to be able to get music on hold to play normally. The sound gets often interrupted with a few seconds of silence then starts playing again. I'm using mpg123-0.59r and tried mp3 files with different sample rates with no luck. If that matters, endpoints are SIP ata186, SIP Cisco 7960 and H.323 (over chan_h323) Quintum Tenor. Sometimes it may play fine for a few minutes

Lots of overhead with ZFS - what am I doing wrong?
I was trying to simply test bandwidth that Solaris/ZFS (Nevada b63) can deliver from a drive, and doing this: dd if=(raw disk) of=/dev/null gives me around 80MB/s, while dd if=(file on ZFS) of=/dev/null gives me only 35MB/s!?. I am getting basically the same result whether it is single zfs drive, mirror or a stripe (I am testing with two Seagate 7200.10 320G drives hanging off the same interface

GRUB + zpool version mismatches
Apparently with zfs boot, if the zpool is a version grub doesn''t recognize, it merely ignores any zfs entries in menu.lst, and apparently instead boots the first entry it thinks it can boot. I ran into this myself due to some boneheaded mistakes while doing a very manual zfs / install at the summit. Shouldn''t it at least spit out a warning? If so, I have no issues filing a

buffer-issue when piping live-streams into musiconhold
Hi Folks, I'm currently trying to configure musiconhold (on a asterisk-1.4.17) for replaying a live mp3-stream (Icecast2). after reading the related material on voip-info and several other pages, I've successfully tried out mpg132, madplay and mplayer to pipe a stream into moh. however, there is one major problem involving some kind of buffer-issue. let me try to explain this problem

MusicOnHold Native Mode, Please Clarify
Hi Guys, I've attempted to get this moh-native thing to work with no success. I've reviewed wiki, mantis and e-mail postings and I'm confused. The latest I've read is native moh should be in asterisk-addons in format_mp3, but what version will it work with? I've tried asterisk 1.0.1, 1.0.5, addons 1.0.1, 1.0.4 and also -r stable CVS. I followed the wiki example with
