[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] [Announcement] Call For 3.3 Testers!
Not that I know of but it's definitely something we could use.
The basic idea is to use the test-release.sh script that can be found
in llvm source tree under utils/release.
$ test-release.sh --help
usage: test-release.sh -release X.Y -rc NUM [OPTIONS]
-release X.Y The release number to test.
-rc NUM The pre-release candidate number.
-j NUM Number of compile jobs

You might be asking yourself, "Self, I would like to be an LLVM tester for the 3.3 release, but I don't know what's involved in being one." Well, ask yourself no more! Not only do I have the answers for you, but talking to yourself will cause people to avoid you.

newbie questions - looping through hierarchial datafille
Dear List,
Im new to R - making a transition from SAS. I have a space delimited file
with the following structure. Each line in the datafile is identified by
the first letter.
A = Inventory (Inventory)
X = Stratum (Stratum_no Total Ye=year established)
P = Plot (Plot_no age slope= species)
T = Tree (tree_no frequency)
L = Leader (leader diameter height)

6.3 missing updates and packages
Hi,
The fact that apparently the last tigervnc update from upstream was
missed triggered me to check for missing updates and packages in 6.3.
Here are my results. Sorry for any false positives that might have crept
in, but note that some of the 6_x updates actually are updates and not a
parsing error. And perhaps an occasional false positive due to having to
compare upstream SRPMS vs downstream

compiling gap on mac os x
Hi, I am having trouble compiling package gap
http://www.hgmp.mrc.ac.uk/~jzhao/r-progs.htm on Tiger. I have installed
XcodeTools 2.1. The binary version of gap currently available on CRAN
has some bug and is fixed in the latest version.
The message I get from R is below. Any help is greatly appreciated.
best regards,
Kenny Ye

[PATCH node-image] store iso in build directory after autobuild
The iso is needed in the build directory for autotest.sh to work
when running as part of autobuild. This enhances autobuild.sh to
copy it over after the rpms are built.

Error messages 3.0.6pre1
I compiled 3.0.6pre1, including the crtimes and fileflags patches for
use on Intel OS X 10.5.6, as described by Mr. Bombich (thanks!) here:
<http://www.bombich.com/mactips/rsync.html>
I want to use 3.0.6 because it seems that this bug:
<https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5365>
has been resolved (yay!).

[PATCH node] Default OVIRT_CACHE_DIR to be in root autobuild directory
Previously was not getting set to anything resulting in cache
being stored in ~/ovirt-cache. For systems where multiple autobuilds
are running, this can lead to issues with builds for one version
getting rpms generated by another version.

[PATCH] virt-v2v: silence P2V build error on x86_64
This is a user case if users build virt-v2v on x86_64 platform
and only want to try V2V section then they must see P2V rpm
build error, it's not necessary for V2V users.
In addition, if some automation scripts call autobuild.sh on
x86_64 platform then the programming also will exit due to
the buiding error.

Create new data frame with conditional sums
If one makes the reasonable assumption that Pct is much larger than
Cutoff, sorting Cutoff is the expensive part e.g O(nlog2(n) for
Quicksort (n = length Cutoff). I believe looping is O(n^2). Jeff's
approach using findInterval may be faster. Of course implementation
details matter.

SAMPLS R implementation : pbm with algorithm application
Hello R people,
i'm trying to implement the Partial Least Squares algorithm called
SAMPLS from "J.Comp-Aided Molecular Design", 7 (1993), 587-619. It's
faster than the classical PLS algorithm for fat matrix (m>>n).
Here's the algorithm from the article of Bush B. L. and Nachbar R.B.:
X is the matrix of explanatories proprieties (m*n) , y the matrix of
responses, h

Issue from R-devel: subset on table
My mistake!
It does actually something else, which is incorrect. One could still use
(although the code is more difficult to read):
subset(tmp <- table(sample(1:10, 100, T)), tmp > 10)
Sincerely,
Leonard

Changes to get CD to boot on EFI System.

Yes. But it does only work with non-SYSLINUX boot images.
It is undisputed that one can work around that problem on a
hard-disk-like medium by simply not using ISO 9660 but a set
of partitions and SYSLINUX EFI software.
But this does not help with
