samba AD trusted certificate for RADIUS server (MS PKI, for example AD CS)
Hi,
We are running a 3 DC samba AD domain, and use 802.1x authentication for
the win10 workstations to access the wired network.
We are facing the issue where, following windows updates, our windows
clients keep changing back the 802.1x settings to the windows default,
namely: to verify the server identity and do computer authentication only.
The latter is no problem, but the first one

RADIUS
Hi,
I?m trying to figure out how to practically use RADIUS to authenticate
users.
So far, I have only found documentation explaining that the idea is that
users somehow magically need to authenticate against a RADIUS server via
a device like a switch or a wireless access point before they are given or
being denied access to a network. I understand that I have to refer to
the documentation of

Thanks, I figured it is what I might need to look into. How about
a client that uses PXE boot?

freeradius + NTLM + samba AD 4.5.x
Hi,
we have updated our samba AD domain from 4.4.x to 4.5.x.
The release notes for 4.5.0 included "NTLMv1 authentication disabled by
default".
So we had to enable it to get our radius (freeradius) server working
(for 802.1x).
What would be the best way to change the freeradius configuration in
such a way,
that we can disable NTLMv1 again.
The radius server is used for WLAN

mpd and radius
Hi all:
I ahve some basic questions regarding the mpd.conf:
set radius retries 3
set radius timeout 3
set radius server 192.168.128.101 testing123 1812 1813
set radius me 1.1.1.1
set bundle enable radius-auth radius-fallback
Here my radius server is 192.168.128.101 and interanl
interface of this mpd server is 192.168.64.65

Change computer password
Hi,
we work on authenticating computers via 802.1x with Samba AD as backend
of Radius. Everything looks promising.
We ask ourselves if it is a good idea to use the machine account which
are created by joining a computer to the AD.
We can change machine account passwords with `samba-tool user
setpassword COMPUTERNAME$` This works, we have SUCCESS with `eapol_test`
on the Radius server.

Change computer password
Hi Tobias
the computer password is set when the computer is joined to DC
the computer also change it periodically
this password must be synced between the compter and the DC else user
can not login to the domain
changing the password with samba-tool, you will have different value on
the computer and on the DC
so user will not be able to log in anymore

Asterisk and radius
Hi folks,
I'm trying to install asterisk with radius cdr support.
I got freeradius up and running, so following radius instructions
inside asterisk source package, I've installed radiusclient-ng and
relative headers.
But when I start configure(asterisk 1.4.18.1) I got:
checking for rc_read_config in -lradiusclient-ng... no
If I type:
./configure --with-radius=/usr/share/radiusclient-ng

Radius 0.0.1 -- Powerful Tag-Based Templates
I am pleased to announce the immediate release of Radius 0.5.0.
Radius is a small, but powerful tag-based template language for Ruby
inspired by the template languages used in MovableType
<www.movabletype.org> and TextPattern <www.textpattern.com>. It uses
tags similar to XML, but can be used to generate any form of plain text
(HTML, e-mail, etc...).
This release is much more feature

Asterisk with Radius users authentication
Dear all,
I've searched the web about Asterisk with Radius integration for user
authentication, and got a bit confused...
I see that there have been some work around it, there is PortaOne's
Radius client patch, an still open branch of Digium Issue Tracker "SIP
peer authentication on an external database (RADIUS - LDAP)", etc.
Although, none of these seems to give me the

Samba Authentication against Radius server
Hello guys,
I have my linux system configured to authenticate/authorize (windows XP
and Vista) users for several services, like PPTP, SMTP and POP3, against
a radius server (using PAM), and now I want to add support for samba
authentication also. I was planning to do it by using one tdbsam backend
(I can not have LDAP for several reasons, unfortunately) but I have some
doubts:
Is it possible to

Please advise if I missed out anything.

symbols: zero radius circles are drawn.
Hi,
I don't think this is a bug, but I thought I'd mention it in case
others think it is not correct... I guess it is probably just a
rounding error.
If I use symbols() to draw some circles, any circle with radius of
zero gets drawn as a small circle. As an example:
postscript(file="test.ps")
symbols(1:9, rep(2,9),
circles=seq(from=0.05, to=0.0, length=9),
