at least 4 me.
Anyone knows what are the variables in an inbound IAX2 call who reflect the
actual codec and DNID, DNIS, original peer description, I'm only able to see
it during an iax debug

Im did not follow the complete thread, but you can check the following.
smb.conf
## map id's outside to domain to tdb files.
idmap config *:backend = tdb
idmap config *:range = 50001-80000
## map ids from the domain the range may not overlap !
idmap config DOMAIN:backend = ad
idmap config DOMAIN:schema_mode = rfc2307
idmap config DOMAIN:range = 10000-40000

I just tried that and I got the same error. I think there is some
extended acl support that I'm missing somewhere.
It's like the setfacl command is not recognizing the AD groups as valid
groups.
I should also add the following information:
This server is built up on CentOS 6.6 Minimal using the Sernet-Samba
Enterprise packages.
It looks like the binary that is running is

Oh this is bad.... bindaddr and rtp traffic
I have a configuration where RTP traffic is going out interface pub0, and coming back into through pub1.
I have bindaddr=0.0.0.0 in sip.conf, and a netstat -an shows:
udp 0 788 0.0.0.0:5060 0.0.0.0:*
which means that Asterisk is listening on all addresses (on all interfaces?).
Anyway, when the RTP traffic comes back in on interface pub0, Asterisk does nothing with it. A

Windows cannot access \\server check the spelling of the name 0x800704cf
Hai Rich,
Your output of ipconfig /all
Where are these?
Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . :
This one is below in the output.
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Verify above again, if these 3 are all there and set to webb.local
Then try this : in you network settings, disable ipv6
Beside ipv6 and the 2 missing outputs, i see the same here on my pc.

Sernet Packages - description
Would someone be so kind as to explain the differences between the sernet packages? Either that or point me to an internet resource that would explain it?
What I'm trying to figure out is what packages to use to set up a full fledged member server in an existing samba4 domain with an existing DC. I want to be able to create a share on this server and then be able to manage it's

[OT] List messages and end user outages
Sorry, this is off topic to asterisk itself, but is about
the list server.
I had a power failure lastnight at home, where my email
server resides, and my network was down for about 20
minutes, that was after 45 minutes of uptime on UPS. Since
power was restored, around 9:45 PM EST on 2/16, I have not
received a single post from the users, biz, or dev lists.
Normally when this has happened

Anyone use the Linksys phones?
Is anyone out there using any of the newer linksys phones since Cisco
took over? I am more specifically looking at the spa-941 & 942's. Just
curious about call quality, programability, and functionality with asterisk.
I have read through the literature, but would like some real world feedback.
Thanks

Calling R from a Perl script: much slower?
Hello list,
I use R for microarray analysis.
One procedure I use takes a large matrix, and loops through it looking
for specific rows, does an operation with them, and outputs a result
(single row) as a row of another matrix. The loop goes on about 25000
times.
When I run the loop directly from the R console itself, it takes about
3 minutes in my computer. I'm ok with that.
Now,

I also have two DCs and I am using them also as filers.
Built-In users and groups are normally mapped by idmap.ldb
I also got issues with mapping of built-in users. I needed the same idmap.ldb on both of my DCs.
I also don't see these groups by hitting getent group.
I followed another stragedy: Every new group that will have filesystem access has a name starting with GGF (Group Global File).

Adding zap channels under *@Home
Hi all,
With the ability of an easy install using Asterisk@Home, I have
decided to give it a try. It is my understanding though, that one cannot
add zap fxs ports as extensions using AMP. Is there anyone using
Asterisk@Home and have added any extensions as zap fxs channels? Would
be interested in how you accomplished this.

MWI with IAX
Does the MWI feature work with IAX2? I have read where it should but
cannot get the indicator to work on any of the IAX softphones that I
have tried which have this feature. I even did an IAX debug and did not
see where and indication was sent to the phone when it registered.

hidecallerid on analog line
Is there a way to hide the callerid on analog line on
outgoing calls. Any ideas whether it could be done
through configuration, a script or hardware.
Thanks;

The only thing I have in my smb.conf that is related is this:
idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = yes
I don't have any of that other stuff for mapping ids.
Is there a howto on that somewhere?
and my nsswitch.conf I have:
passwd: files sss
shadow: files
group: files sss
the sss was only because I was trying sss but it was ONLY "files" to
start with.
