Thanks for your suggestion. I realize that I can do it at the Git level
and it is the ultimate way to go. However, building the

Tracking down severe regression in 5.3-rc4/5.4 for TU116 - assistance needed
Hi,
I've encountered a severe regression in TU116 (probably also TU117)
introduced in 5.3-rc4 (valid also for recent 5.4.2) [1]. The system
usually hangs on the subsequent graphic mode related operation (calling
xrandr after login is enough) with the following error:
> kernel: nouveau 0000:01:00.0: fifo: SCHED_ERROR 08 []
...
> kernel: nouveau 0000:01:00.0: DRM: failed to idle channel

Tracking down severe regression in 5.3-rc4/5.4 for TU116 - assistance needed
Let's add Mika and Rafael, as they were responsible for that commit.
Mika/Rafael - any ideas? The commit in question is
0617bdede5114a0002298b12cd0ca2b0cfd0395d
Marcin -- would be nice if you could confirm that taking a recent
kernel + "git revert 0617bdede5114a0002298b12cd0ca2b0cfd0395d" works
well for you.

The obvious candidate based on a quick scan is
0acf5676dc0ffe0683543a20d5ecbd112af5b8ee -- it merges a fix that
messes with PCI stuff, and there lie dragons. You could try building
that commit, and if things still work, then I have no idea (and you've
narrowed the range). Also I'd recommend ensuring that the good kernel
is really good and the bad kernel is really bad -- boot them a few

Hi Marcin,
You should do a git bisect rather than guessing about commits. I
suspect that searching for "kernel git bisect fedora" should prove
instructive if you're not sure how to do this.

Inspiring Web 2.0 Rails Sites?
Anybody know of any Rails-using web sites that really capture the
essence of the nebulous Web 2.Oh from which ideas, instruction, and
inspiration can be drawn?
BTW, what exactly IS Web 2.0?

Imap - Loging
Hello List,
i'm looking for a way to increase log-level for imap-processes. Pop3 Server
writes all necessary infos about mails-transfered/deleted etc. Imap-Log
writes just times and ip's of Userlogins.
Is there a way to increase the imap-output? The Conf-Parameters i found did
not really fit my requirements. Best result would be a collected log of
transfering/deleting mails for one

Loging agents in
While working with agents I've noticed something strange. The agent log in
function asks for the username of the agent, checks the configured agent, if
it exists it asks for the password, if it doesn't it asks for the username
again.
Wouldn't it be more secure to ask for both things and then check them without
showing the callee if the username or the password or both were wrong ?

Assistance with loging a particular event.
I am attempting to unify how numbers come to me from a specific T1, this T1
acts as an ingress for about 4000 DIDS. About 98% of those DIDS come in as
a 10-digit DNIS, what I would like to do is have asterisk log when a number
comes in 7 or 11 digit so I can contact my upstream provider and have them
translate those DIDS to 10 digit.
I think I can achieve this by modifying my dial-plan I am

Stop loging output of CUI application running in wineconsole

I'm running a windows console (CUI) application using wineconsole and I

loging user actions
Hallo,
from time to time some of our users delete files. But none of them do
confess that they have deleted the file.
I want to find at the samba logs which user has deleted the file. I´m
using the audit-vfs module but there are only messages about opening
and closing of files.
Can anybody give me a hint for using samba logs to find the users I´m
searching for?
Thanks in advance

Rsync server side loging with SSH
I have a client box that I: rsync -e ssh targetfile loginname@server:~/destfile
since rsyncd is not called I dont get output in the logfile
from what I can tell from the man the code and all the articles I have read, there is no way to capture the stats on the serverside rsync call short of using --rsync-path and redirecting stderr+stdout to a log file.
How do I do this? .. I have tried and
