Hi there, with both CVS HEAD and 1.2beta1 I don't succeed with either "make" or "make linux26". I checked more than once to make sure the required packages are in place - any suggestions? CVS head on FreeBSD 4.9 will not compile
The latest recursive mutex additions in Asterisk will not compile on my FreeBSD 4.9 systems. Anyone out there with FreeBSD or OpenBSD that got it working? I guess I need an update to Gnu Pthreads, but can't find anything by looking in ports. There's something called linuxthreads, but it's over my head to understand if that helps or not. See bug

Asterisk-CVS-HEAD locks up on 'reload' from CLI (sometimes)
Lately when I issue a 'reload' from the CLI, I find that it will sometimes hang forever, completely locked up. I can press enter and see the CLI prompt move, but no commands are taken. "top" shows asterisk eating everything up: PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME CPU COMMAND 20669 root 25 0 10068 9.8M 5392 R 88.4 1.9 1:02 0 asterisk

CVS HEAD won't compile for me
I checked out CVS HEAD today and tried to compile it with no luck, so then I checked out the stable version and compiled it successfully. I'm 99% sure that I'm not missing anything and that I'm following the instructions correctly (I'm no guru, but I've compiled lots of programs successfully). My question is this: is it fairly common that the CVS HEAD version won't

compiling CVS-HEAD + Patch from http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=3644

First I checked out zaptel, libpri and asterisk with this command: "cvs co zaptel libpri asterisk" But the latest patch sipsubscribe-20050812.rev806v2.txt from http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=3644 didn't worked, so I tried to check out an older CVS-Versions

Does Asterisk Realtime require the use of CVS HEAD ???
I read on the Wiki that Asterisk Realtime requires CVS HEAD, but I've also discovered that not everything on the Wiki is 100% accurate (that's not a knock, but with a program that is changing as fast as Asterisk, it's impossible for the documentation to keep up). Is it true that Realitme requires CVS HEAD? TIA, Jeff Heath

[Asterisk-Dev] CVS-HEAD change: queue/agent persistence
For anyone using CVS HEAD, if you are using queue member persistence or agent persistence, your next update will cause the persistence to break. The storage format for these elements has been changed so that it can be more easily extended in the future, but this required breaking compatibility. This should be the last time these features will be broken by an upgrade :-)

[Asterisk-Dev] CVS HEAD behavior change warning
The patches from Mantis issue #752 (extended screening/privacy support for Dial) have been merged into CVS HEAD. As part of this patch, the 'n' flag to Dial got changed to be used as part of the privacy features, instead of being the 'dont jump to +101' flag. That flag is now 'j'. Sorry for the inconvenience, but sometimes things have to change in the development

Festival & Asterisk CVS Head
I just installed Festival 1.9.5 and all dependencies. It works properly from the command line, as I can play the contents of a text string or file from the Festival command line through PC speakers. I then added the code to the festival.scm file, as detailed in Method 1 of http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+Festival+installation I did not apply the patch used in Method 2, because I can not
