Newbie: ISDN E1 the same in all countries?
Hi. I'm looking at ordering a 30-channel ISDN connection from telia (a swedish operator) and then using a Wildcard TE110P card with that and asterisk to do IVR. Can I be certain that the TE110P card will work with that ISDN connection? A 30 channel ISDN certainly sounds like an E1 connection, but I couldn't get any clear answers from the operator if it is. Has anyone used the TE110P

Terminating IAX calls in E1 PRI interface - what do I need to be able to send arbitrary caller id to called party ?
Hi, I'd like to terminate IAX call on PRI interface. What conditions should be met to be able to send arbitrary caller numbers to called party, so he can call back to supplied ISDN number (that is different for every IAX user) - not through PRI interface, but plain ISDN call !! Thanks in advance, regards, Rob.

Help in E1-T1 encoding
I have an asterisk with a TE110P configured as T1 which is behind a PSTN gateway. This gateway has an E1 to PSTN and a T1 to asterisk. This T1 is configured as Network and * as CPE. Every call I receive in E1 gateway is directly switched to asterisk using T1. Remember E1 is alaw. Both E1 and T1 have Natural Microsystems boards with a very simple software. When I call to E1 asterisk signalling

Echo on one E1 line, but not the other
We're rolling out Cisco 7940 phones, linked to *, which is running a TE405p EuroISDN. We have 2 ISDN lines, one we had for testing, and one for general (40+ users) use. During the testing phase, we had 10 phones linked to the second ISDN line, and there were no problems with echo at all. Lucky me. However, since we have started rolling out, we've had quite loud complaints that there is

newbie uk questions...
hi: Just starting out with *, and I'm planning to heed the advice to start simple and small, but the goal i'm aiming for eventually is: *-based pbx for 10-20 seat small business, based in the UK. Users will have PoE SIP hardphones. So far so good, but two questions, both UK-specific, relating to connection to the outside world (PSTN or VoIP): - are there any UK-based VoIP providers

how do I get R2 signalling working with a Digium E100P E1/PRA Card
Hullo everyone, Iam new to Asterix but am trying to get R2 signalling working with a Digium E100P E1/PRA Card. My Telecom doesn't have an implementation of ISDN PRI yet, so it's R2 that is supported. Could anyone have a patch to fix this for me. Am told it has something to do with Assembly Language programming. Please help me fix this. Regards, Nicholas

E1/T1 back to back ??
Hi there Just a quick question, I will be building some servers in a lab utilizing Digium E1 cards. I would like if possible to avoid the expense of installing an e1/ISDN30 in my lab. I have two questions really, first does anybody know of an effective simulation tool I can use to replicate a real world PRI but without the telco line being installed. And secondly, can I have a scenario with 2

E1 in Brazil
Hey all! I had an experience trying to set up an E1 in Brazil which could help somebody. In Brazil is very common telcos to have just R2 digital as their primary signaling. As I were trying to set up an E100P, which does not support R2 yet, I had to test an other signaling which works perfectly with Asterisk. They call this signaling as RDSI, using ccs as framing and PA (primary access) as

Split E1 ISDN service for another device.
Hi All, I know this is not specifically Asterisk related but I don't knew where else to ask for help. Does anyone know how to or if it is even possible to allocate 512kbit/s to an ISDN device from a 30B+D ISDN line. The building the office is in has a E1 30 channel service (30B+D) but we can not get any 2B+D ISDN services. I have a HDX Polycom video conferencing system that requires a

(UN)structured E1
Hi all. We are getting our first PRI line to use with Asterisk and one of the technical specifications is about framing, structured or unstructured. The main difference about them is almost clear for me: http://ckp.made-it.com/g704.html says: "G.704 is the framing specification for G.703. A carrier can 'steal' a 64kbps time slot (TS0) from a 2.048 Mbps line and use this to

Multiple E1 configuration question
Hi all- This question is for those familiar with EuroISDN setup. I have a customer in Europe where I'm going to install an asterisk based system with 4 E1's. The customer will configure them all in one large hunt group. My question is about the E1 channel configuration. I know that usually single E1 spans are set up with 30 channels (1-15 and 17-31) as the voice (bearer) channels and
