Gnumeric
Hi, I am trying to install Gnumeric in CentOS 4 and I can't. It complains about quite a few dependencies failing. It suggested installing some postgresql librairies, openldap librairies... I did that, now I still get: dependencies failed: libmdb/libmdbsq/libsqlite/libxbase/libtds. Is there a yum repository that has them or a yum repository for gnumeric? A little help with yum.d repo files
I'm new to CentOS. I was running Fedora core 3 before I installed CentOS 5.0. I'm looking at the files in CentOS /etc/yum.d and the same files in Fedora 3. I'm a little confused as I have never looked at yum before. I now have a full time connection so now I can use yum. I have been looking for supported rpms for XEmacs and Gnucash. What repos do I need to add to obtain these two

Re: BUG: Forum driving away experienced users
Trouble is if you split the list into newbies and non-newbies the people the other Alan despises so much won't think of themselves as newbies. As a relative newbie myself I find it hard to swallow some of the near-elitist attitude shown by some experts, calling someone who isn't as experienced as you a noob is just plain insulting. I hope when those people learn something new they

Interesting slow Samba read and write problem - GnuCash
Interesting, but now reached the stage where I have to resolve it! Many things have been checked and experimented with but nothing really has provided the right answer. The high points! - Two Samba servers joined with an OpenVPN link over Internet. Worst case bandwidth about 384Kbps. - A WXP client on one of the servers LANs trying to access data on the server at the other end of the link - The
