Dial multiple extensions, but different variables/timeouts
Hi everyone,
I'm wondering I would accomplish the following: I want to dial several
SIP extensions simultaneously, HOWEVER, for different times (say ext
10 for 15 sec and ext 11 for 30 sec), and potentially with different
headers (such as ALERT_INFO) and codecs for each extension. Obviously
whoever picks up first gets the call. After the longest timeout
expires (30 sec in this example) I want

I want to let you know about an algo that will soon be published
and that may be of interest to Vorbis (and other Ogg projects) :

Trixbox Phones Home
I just read on Slashdot (at

"has been phoning home with statistics about their installations", as a
Trixbox user exposed in "Trixbox Phones Home" at

FCC Rules VoIP Must Be Tappable
http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/08/04/2212251&tid=158&tid=95&tid=103
Probably some of you already saw this.
Now, beyond discussions regarding the legitimacy of such a ruling
(whether they have the legal, moral or whatever right to enforce it),
there's the technical aspect.
Suppose i provide VoIP services using Asterisk, and i fall under the
incidence of the FCC ruling

RE: Asterisk at home with Broadvoice?
As a general rule of thumb it would be good to make the distinction
between 'Credit Card' and 'Debit Card' too.
If possible, never ever use a debit card for online purchases.
It taps directly into your account and removes REAL money.
Credit cards are 'virtual' money in that they are credit and your cash
in account remains untouched.
That way if your credit card account

10gR2 CRS installation failing to recognize OCFS2 shared mountpoi nts for OCR location.
Hi,
I am using multipath devices /dev/md0... from a SAN, mounted on 2 nodes in
a cluster using OCFS2. The OCFS2 mountpoints are visible and writable from
both nodes. However CRS installation fails to recognize the device as a
shared device for OCR location.
Cluvfy does not work on multipath devices for testing shared storage.
Has anybody encountered similar problems ?
Any help will be greatly

Vonage Linksys Router - Life after Vonage
I setup a vonage account last year, and cancelled it last night when I
put my asterisk box together and signed up for a Broadvoice account to
use with it.
Now I would like to use my Linksys router as an MTA, but realize it is
still programmed with all of vonage's proprietary information and I do
not know how to clear it. I understand that just pushing the reset
button will not do it.

Asterisk with Vonage problems
Does anyone currently use Vonage with Asterisk? I've tried to set it up but
it looks like Asterisk (at least the version that I have) does not handle
well the SIP call dialog, sending a BYE with the wrong tag. As a result,
when I hang up, Vonage sends back a 400 Bad Request and the call on the PSTN
side does not hang up.
I know that Vonage does a lot of nasty stuff which impacts UA's

Asterisk registering with vonage
Hello everyone. I've seen postings for connecting asterisk to vonage but I'm
still having trouble achieving that. I have a vonage softphone and I'm
trying to register to vonage using asterisk. I have not had any luck. I am
behind a firewall. I've successfully gotten xlite to connect and work from
the same network. When I change the port setting in [general] to 5061, I am
able to

Help please for newb on Asterisk to Vonage
I just installed Asterisk on my server and I have Vonage softphone.
I need my Asterisk server to receive calls through the Vonage Softphone DID
and make outgoing calls through the Vonage ATA using an X100p to connect to
it. Can someone help me out on configuring this? I really need this for my
business and would greatly appreciate the help.

Oracle 11 nts authentication againts samba4 AD DC
Hi again. I apologize for my vague previous question. After some
investigation I can be much more precise in my consult. Furthermore, I
think I found a bug...
Context:
-Samba4 AD DC working fine with many user and machine accouns.
-Windows7 client trying to connect via sqlplus to an oracle database
residing in a Windows2008 server. Both machines are in the domain.
-Server database is using

Transfer to Fax - 123 - Vonage
Okay, my last post for the night.
So, after tweaking my iptables rules I placed a test call from
my * -> Vonage softphone account, to my Vonage main account (which uses the
Motorola device). Once connected I tried punching a few DTMF's to check the
quality and found I had been transferred to a fax machine. ???? Did I find
a secret entrance to some fax machine at Vonage, or

Asterisk and Vonage - Can't call out but can receive calls
Hi,
I'm trying to get Asterisk to connect to Vonage (softphone acct) to allow me to place and receive
calls. I have successfully configured Asterisk to route inbound calls and send
them to the correct extension, but I can't get outbound calls to work. I have
Asterisk successfully registering with Vonage, but when an INVITE is sent out, I
get a "404 Not Found" back from Vonage

Vonage to IAX DID to IVR => Poor DTMF
I have an IVR application that works fine from multiple DID sources,
unless the call to that DID was from a Vonage service user. In this
case about half the DTMF tones never get recognized by Asterisk. Has
anyone else seen this? Suggestions? I'm running 1.0.9.

Vonage SIP access via asterisk?
Does anyone have a working connection to Vonage via asterisk? (SIP, not ATA)
I just signed up to test their service and they sent me a Number, Proxy, port and password.
Every reference I have tried leaves me with a 404 error coming from Vonage.
If you have a working setup, please post some config references.
?
Thank You,
