tos problem
Hello people, It seems that my * does not react to tos=<whatever> field in iax.conf. I am using latest CVS HEAD code. Can anybody help me with this issue? ps: if i go to chan_iax2.c and modify the initial definition of tos variable, it works fine marking packets with the value specified there: static int tos=16; if i put random text in iax.conf's tos=, chan_iax2 refuses to load

Caller ID spoofing
Hello everybody! I am having the following problem and since I am a beginner in playing with asterisk, i can't solve it: I am trying to integrate my existing H.323 network in real world telephony by ISDN cards. The problem is that i DON'T want to change all e164 numbers in my h.323 network and my ISDN provider doesn't accept those identities (CIDs). So, i have to spoof the outgoing

number detection problem.
Hello, We're using asterisk with a z-plex 10 and a Zap tormentia card at a non-profit home for the aged. Sometimes when we dial out, our numbers are misintepreted with one number being detected twice. For instance 337-4411 becomes 337-7441 7's 4's and 0's seem to be particularly prone to this issue. Any ideas? I've tried turning down rxgain and txgain. A little debugging

OT: USB T1/E1 Interface?
Just curious: has anyone seen or heard about a USB-based T1/E1 interface device? I've seen some serious T1/E1 testing equipment that is USB-based, but I was wondering if there was something more generic, like a Zaptel-ish T1/E1 that used USB instead of PCI/PCIx. help setting up router
Hi, my name is Calin and I''m new to linux, but I guess its the right place to ask this: what do I set on a linux RH9 box with 2.4.24 kernel to route a 10 machine private network (192.168.x.x) by 3 limited bandwidth, public IPs (193.231.x.x). The network uses a switch, the linux box has 1 ethernet card, the link is available trough a wireles ethernet bridge from my ISP. I begun to read

No PCMCIA Support?
I see that the ext3 kernel being used is an enterprise kernel which doesn''t build the PCMCIA modules generally. Any chance of getting the SRPM so that testing on a laptop can actually be possible? It''s too much fun to have a laptop and just hit the power button and not have to fsck:) Jeremy -- Jeremy Katz katzj@linuxpower.org | jlkatz@eos.ncsu.edu http://linuxpower.org |

Wireless PCMCIA/PC Card for CentOS 5.1?
Hello everyone, I would really like to get wireless working on my CentOS 5.1 install. I have a LinkSys WPC54G (I guess version 1 since no version is listed) but everything I've read indicates that this would be a nightmare for a Linux newbie like myself. I got as far as NDISWrapper, but right off the bat I am getting issues with KBuild and I guess my kernel source so I can't even get

PCMCIA not working on IBM Thinkpad r40
I am running Centos 4 on a Thinkpad r40 and it does not see any pcmcia cards. I know the socket is good because I had it working with Fedora Core 3. A funny thing though, once I updated my fedora kernel to a certain rev. (don't remember the version) the card socket no longer worked. Going back to an un-upgraded install of Fedora 3 worked. Has anyone seen this problem and worked this

Initialize network via PCMCIA
Hi, I have a very old 486 laptop, thinking of using it as a dumb terminal instead of throwing it. It has 3C589 and Xircom Credit Card Adapter II ps both of whose drivers are available in kernel 2.6 How do I make ipconfig detect either of them as ethernet card (I don't insert both at the same time) so that I can boot NFS ROOT? -- Regards, Nilesh Govindarajan Facebook:

Install is on PCMCIA CDrom so too is LAN card
How do I get the PCMCIA driver(s) to load initially? This whole string of questions on this install come from using a PCMCIA CDrom. The system boots from the CD, but then the install does not have a driver. If I have it select install method, I see a Future Domain PCMCIA SCSI driver. If I select that, I still cannot load of my CDrom, but if I select HTTP it discovers my LAN card. But when I

Com-On-Air (PCI/PCMCIA) chan drivers?
Does anybody know whether somebody ever implemented (linux) drivers or a chan component for the Com-On-Air cards, or is the only way to make it work the use of a Windows box as Dect to SIP gateway for *? (Or does it work at all?) I can still get the cards, which would be great to retire the old DECT based PBX, but it would be of little use if it's not going to work, now is it? ;-) --
