Palm Hotsync success...
Well, after having given up uppon serial communication from hotsync.exe to the Palm Vx, I decided to try network communication instead. I am able to perform a complete hotsync even with Netscape Calendar synchronization. I am not doing anything special to make it work but it is not straight forward, neither. I start hotsync.exe, configuring it for network access only. Then I start pi-nredir

Getting JPilot working
I am trying to get JPilot working. I have configed gnome-pilot-applet, but it is not talking to the USB connected Treo650. My Treo has my name as the user, so from the applet, I see also a userid (my UID on this system it seems). I try to put that on the Treo and nothing happens. I have enabled the Backup Conduit. I am using /dev/pilot, which shows up when my Treo is connected via its USB

Firefly as Asterisk SIP client - qualify works ?
Hi, I'm curious if anyone is using firefly as SIP client and if qualify=yes works for it. In my case Asterisk just keeps retransmitting of OPTION SIP message and Firefly doesn't seem to respond - but all this could be just wrong settings ? Anyone has working SIP configuration with qualify ? Thanks , Rob.

advantages of a sip phone over Wildcard TDM400P solution
Hi, after finally getting my testsystem to work well I'm planning to buy some hardware. Now I was wondering what the advantages / disadvantages of using a Wildcard TDM400P solution over using real sip phones like the snoms is? The only thing I came up with is that the Snoms can use a LDAP adressbook on the server. What about calling a sip adress like person@server.com. Can this be done by

horde sync status ?
Hello all, I had a quick look at the horde site and noticed that horde is being advertised as, let's say, "smartphone friendly". Does anyone know if the newest horde version can "talk" to? smart phones in regards to e-mails ? In other words, can a user owning a smartphone get his/her e-mails on it apart from the webpage ? Thank you, spyros ? ---- "I merely

Re: [Serusers] softphones
Hi I tried Xten, its very good, because it can stay in the taskbar (next to the clock) and start when windows starts, and is allways ready to receive calls. Maybe it s the best way to introduce VoIP to my company workers.... But theres a feature that s missing (or I couldnt find), there s no way to connect this softphone with the adress book. I think this feature is very important, because

OT: MWI on Treo 600/650
My cell vm goes to asterisk, not the carrier. Apparently MWI is turned on/off with specially formatted SMS messages. Anyone know how to do this on a Treo 600? Having the phone light from Asterisk would be HUGE ... not to mention extremely cool. dbc.

heap error while trying to run TrueSync Dekstop
Hello, I'm trying to run the "TrueSync Desktop" app (the equivalent of Hotsync for non-Palm handhelds, but without any Linux port, unfortunately), and I get the following error: err:heap:HEAP_ValidateInUseArena Heap 40360000: in-use arena 403e7eb8 next block has PREV_FREE flag wine: Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger... Any Speex plug-ins available for usage in a Palm device application
Hi all, I'm new to the speex development mailing list, so I don't have much experience/idea about Speex. I came to know about speex when I was working on a R&D for my application on Palm devices. I've created a Pocket PC application, which is a talking phrasebook using .NET Compact Framework. In this application I'm using a 3rd party MP3 plug-in for playing my MP3 files,

Palm m50x & the USB stack
[It seems the last time this came up was in march, under the heading of "Sony Cybershot should be in hardware notes". This message is intended mainly to document what I've managed to track down.] The m500s still will not sync with pilot-link 0.11.7 in -STABLE. An easily triggerable panic is another issue [1]. The pilot-link code first opens /dev/ugenX and then switches to

Capturing audio streams with Linux?
So I got a new Pocket PC this weekend (yes, you read that right, sorry, don't like the Palms on offer currently and I can at least install software on it via Windows on VMWare). One of the main things I wanted to do with it is get Audible.com again and listen to All Things Considered from NPR on the way home like I used to. Now I find out they not only don't have an agreement with Audible

Linux PDA/smartphone sync?
Hi, I think I'll finally be able to move away from windows... I just installed linux and I'm wondering what people use as smartphones/PDA. I currently use a motorola V710 phone, which allows me to sync my contacts and calendar, which is all I need. I may change it soon, so I'd like to know what is best to work with linux (I use evolution right now, connected to an exchange

Proximity Detection: Motorola Q + Bluetooth + Asterisk
Hi, Can anyone tell me if the Motorola Q has its Bluetooth always on like the IPhone? I want to use the Motorola Q in a Proximity Detection setup like that described on nerdvittles.com. I know the Treo 650 does not work well since the display must be on for the bluetooth to be on and this eats power. Thanks Chuck Bunn

IDLE command timeout
Is it possible to change the IDLE command timeout to be more than 30 minutes? I have a client on my PalmOne Treo 600 which will stay in IDLE mode as long as it can. I would like to set the timeout to something much higher than 30 minutes. Maybe several hours or even more. I don't see a configuration setting for this value in "/etc/dovecot.conf". Am I missing something?

Who am xxx talking to.agi
In relation to our CRM-system I'd like to send a query to asterisk who is extension xxx talking to. When the operator enters the page with customer data, the crm should send a query to asterisk, to get the cli of the call the operator is having. If the number is matching the customers number in crm, a record will be made, if it is not, a popup "Are you talking with this customer
