How do I install speex for asterisk?
Hi, everybody: I enabled speex in my asterisk box (iax.conf), but no phone call went throug. At the asterisk console, I used the "show modules" command and it did not show the speex codec in the list. So, I downloaded the speex codec from speex.org, v1.0.5, compiled and installed in my asterisk machine. What I still don't know is: what do I need to do from the asterisk side to

astGUIclient users should not upgrade to Asterisk 1.0.5
Hello, Just confirmed this on my end, because of the massive changes that have been made to callerID handling in asterisk 1.0.5 many of the features of the astGUIclient suite will not work on this new version. The latest stable version recommended is Asterisk 1.0.3. We will work on trying to find ways around the new callerID rules that the asterisk developers have put in place and hope to have

I looked at function window() but doesn't appear suitable for this since it expects regular dates. creating time series from existing data
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Is it possible to create a time series from existing data frame? One column of that frame contains dates (like "01/01/01") and the second one the values. The period is non-regular (it is not strictly daily nor working-days-daily). Thank you. lukas - -- Lukas Kubin lukas.kubin at permonik.com phone: 00420603836180 -----BEGIN PGP

predicting financial time series
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 What are the best tools (models within R) for use in predicting stock market trading values? Currently I'm using the smooth.spline but are there any others used in practice? Do I find the mathematical formulations of R-functions somewhere (I now I could deduct it from the source code algorithms but ...)? Of the smooth.spline() for example? Thank

Using an IBM 8227 Lan Entry Access Point
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi: I'm using Red Hat 7.0 and stock samba. I just bought an 8227 IBM Access point from eBay, and it says it needs a Lan Manager server supporting LLC to download the boot image. Can Linux and Samba be used to support this access point? If so, could someone point the way where I can find docs to configure this setup? Thank you. - -- Alfredo
