Which imapd?
Hi. What imapd can you recommend for minimum configuration and maintenance (no Cyrus)? This is for a small shop, so no hard performance requirements. I'd prefer one where I don't have to build my own packages (no Courier, unless packages exist). Thanks. Morten

Need DETAILED help using p2v
This is something I want to do over my holiday vacation to continue to broaden my skills. I am experimenting (learning) about moving a Win7 physical drive to a VM under my CSB. I'm struggling a little on the steps when using our RH documentation (perhaps it is clear if you are an RHCE but it isn't to someone trying to learn from it initially combined with Google searches) so asking if

Power alarm on module 1, resetting.
Any clues as to what this is? Google isn't much help. Both cards have the power connector plugged in, and both randomly give me static instead of a dialtone, or an outside line. Cards are 1 4 Port TDM400 FXO, and 1 4 Port TDM400 FXS. Computer is a Compaq Proliant ML330 The full error is as follows: Ouch, part reset, quickly restoring reality (0) Power alarm on module 1, resetting!

AS2.1 lock problem due to ext3?
Hi, I installed AS2.1 kernel 2.4.9-e.16 and Emulex driver v4.21g to connect Fujitsu raid through FC(fiber channel) cable. I met the lock problem by the follwoing operations: fdisk /dev/sdbX e2mkfs -j /dev/sdbX mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/raid/X // run 16 sample programs for each mount point // pulled the FC cable and then some jobs abended. // 1 or 2 jobs were still running. // 'ps

lme, two random effects, poisson distribution
Hello, I have a dataset concerning slugs. For each slug, the number of pumps per one time slot was counted. The number of pumps follows Bi(30, p) where p is very small, thus could be approximated by Poisson dist. (# of pumps is very often = 0) The slugs were observed during 12 time slots which are correlated in time as AR(1). The time slots are divided into two categories: Resting time

--delete-during acts like --delete-before
Hello, I use rsync v3.0.7 with "--delete-during", but it appears to act more like "--delete-before". I've checked the docs and list archives, but I am still discovering some of the subtleties of rsync, and I can't see where I'm going wrong. There's an example of my issue below... can anybody set me straight? =-) o We archive a small number of large files,

Cannot rename file
Hi I've upgraded my OS from Redhat AS2.1 to Redhat AS4. The samba upgraded from samba-2.2.7-3.21as to samba-3.0.10-1.4E.9. I use this only to see the Linux filesystem as a drive on my PC. The problem is that I cannot rename a file. Put, Get and Copy works fine. The error I get (after about 30 sec) is any of the following (no specific pattern): "Cannot rename filename:

configure issue (PR#9379)
Full_Name: Gordon Lack Version: 2.4.0 OS: Redhat Linux AS2.1 Submission from: (NULL) (198.28.92.5) Not sure whether this is a configure issue or an R one. It's only a minor issue, so this is really just FYI. The code in configure checks for the version of makeinfo by splitting the version string into a major and minor component. The tests on these assume they are numeric. RHAS2.1 shipped

make check failure, internet.Rout.fail, Error in strsplit
I'm trying to build R on RedHat EL4. The compile went fine, but a make check ran into a problem and produced a file "internet.Rout.fail". Judging by the last part of that file, it was trying to run an R routine called "httpget" to retrieve the URL http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/datasets/csb/ch11b.dat. The precise error it encountered was: Error in

libvorbis 1.2.3 not generating 96kHz ogg file
Hi, I'm trying to get ffmpeg (linked with libvorbis 1.2.3) to generate a 96kHz ogg file, but I seem to be limited to 50kHz . The command is ffmpeg -i t16bit96kHz.wav -acodec libvorbis test.ogg and I get the error message [libvorbis @ 0x2051460]oggvorbis_encode_init: init_encoder failedError while opening codec for output stream #0.0 - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width

help diagnosing ftp problem
Dear R-help, I've been compiling R from source on our Linux boxes for quite a while. One thing that bugs me is that I always get an error when make check-all where it choked up running tests/internet.R. That wasn't a big deal, as I can run install.packages()/update.packages() fine, and that's all I use the 'net connection for. The problem is that it takes a _long_ time to fail
