PolyCom phones with blinking clock and wrong time
I have PolyCom phones in one office working perfectly, but in another
office with a new subnet, new server, new everything, the time does not
work. Everything else about the phones seems fine, but the time. If you
look at the internal webpage in the phone, it shows "clock". Our
server, which is configured to allow others on the net to get their time
from it, and it in turn gets its

JiveMessenger HOWTO
Any one out there done the JiveMesenger jabber server?
www.jivesoftware.com/messenger/
I want to get this running to then do the next step of tie-ing it in
to the * server for presence & callerID screen pops.
Pursued their site a bit but never found a HOWTO or anything that
looked relevant.
Appreciated.
Peace. Love. Linux.

OT: carrying a router, firewall, switch, server, some phones with me on flight to Europe
Dear Fellow *-ers,
First, you guys are fantastic. Keep fighting the good fight.
Second, it sounds like comments in the code are coming, which sounds
welcome by all, even those of us who couldn't code their way out of a
papersack, but who need to read the source.
Last, I might be traveling to Europe (from US) & want to tow along
hardware & haven't done this before & was

Subject: Re: What combination of pwlib and openh323 are required to get Asterisk-oh323 v0.7.1 to compile
Thanks Vamsi
I have not been able to locate pwlib - 1.6.6 or openh323 1_13_5.
I found the latest versions through sourceforge and I found some older
versions on another site, but not these versions. This has been quite
frustrating. Anyway, I think by using the asterisk-oh323 branch under
channels in the asterisk source tree I will have more luck. At present it
seems to compile successfully, but

What combination of pwlib and openh323 are required to get Asterisk-oh323 v0.7.1 to compile
Hi there
I have Asterisk running beautifully on our test server. Over the past few
days I have been tearing my hair out trying to compile various versions of
asterisk-oh323 on various versions of pwlib and openh323.
pwlib is now up to 1.8.3 and openh323 is now 1.15.2 stable.
asterisk-oh323 is currently 0.7.1
I have tried these three with many errors.
I have tried 0.7.1 with pwlib 1.5.2 and

Hi Mark
Funny you should ask this question, I just spent yesterday integrating
building asterisk with h323 support to connect to a Cisco call agent.....I
cant say if it will work for you but it compiles and loads nicely ! I will be
testing this evening....

Speex & openh323
hi,
I'm currently trying to use Speex with Asterisk from my OpenH.323 client. It seems to mismatch the codecs, below is my log from Asterisk. My Openh323 client crashes in responding to a Speex request for bits per frame. I'm guessing it either isn't running the codec correctly or doesn't support the same subset of speex codecs as openh323. (I'm using speex-1.0.1 with

openh323 compile for Asterisk
HI,
I have the latest RC2 of Asterisk on a RH 9 non-modified-load box. I have
an Avaya IP phone that uses h323, so I am trying to compile h323 into
Asterisk. Now, I downloaded pwlib and openh323 tar files and I have
compiled this according to the instructions:
pwlib:
./configure
make opt
openh323:
./configure
make opt
cd asterisk/channels/h323
make
cd asterisk
make clean
make install

chan_h323 + openh323 CVS = no go?
Hi,
trying to build the h323 channel driver that comes with asterisk works
fine, but only as long as I use openh323-1.11.7.
Unfortunately, that setup seems to have a bug which misguides one of the
audio streams. (So while * can "hear" me, the phone remains silent.)
I suppose that bug is fixed at least in openh323 CVS. At least, I got
things mostly working using the external

Howerver every time I'm trying to compile it, using ./configure of

prompt for "send a message" not played in VM main, HOWTO resolve
All,
Just came across the prompt #3 from inside the top menu of VM in latest stable. Allison does not announce the prompt, but if you know it is there, you can press 3 & successfully follow the prompts from there to send your message to other users on the system. But, of course, obviously, I am asking: how do I resolve the situation whereby the users are not hearing this prompt? (since most

OpenH323-Channel Q.931-Problems with Gatekeeper
Dear Mailinglist-User
currently we`re working with an IP-PBX, based on Asterisk, with SIP, H.323
and ISDN-Capabilities.
SIP and ISDN works fine, but H.323 not.
In our first test, we started to connect Asterisk to an Cisco IOS-Gatekeeper
with the "chan_oh323" (version 0.6.5).
We successfully tested in/egress calls without any problems.
But when we started to connect our Asterisk

"intercom" SIP header being ignored by Kirk wireless handsets
Hey, Hi, All,
We have a few dozen of the Kirk (ie: Polycom bought this European brand) out there & most all work very well & work very well with most all versions of Asterisk.
But we have been tripped-up by one combination of firmware & version & configuration variables. We are running Asterisk 1.4.23.1 (TrixBox CE). We are running latest stable firmware on the handsets. Most

OT - Is sourceforge OpenH323 active ?
Hi,
A glance at sourceforge.net/projects/openh323 Help Forum made me wonder if
this location is the one to use (I got trouble in the past when google
pointed to an obsolete site) :
some quite old messages remain unanswered.
Cheers
