Sparc hardware, Linux and X100P REVISITED
I was studying the asterisk-users list archives
to learn if anyone has had success with an X100P on a
sparc. I noticed some postings on the subject. I am
wondering if anyone has learned anything new?
I have an Ultra-60 running Gentoo with 2.6.10 and
udev. I built * 1.0.5 and have been enjoying
various SIP configurations, with 2 sipura phones and 2
UIP200 phones (got them working!) in my home,

Fwd: rsync seem to be broken on sparc64
I know almost nothing about modern SPARC64 systems especially when they
are running linux. But, can you try this command line and see if it
gives more information before it blows up:
rsync -vvai /export/test/ /export/test2/

I posted about this in the kernel lists a few months ago to no avail. I
see it on gentoo as well with any kernel newer than 3.18. I came across
this when using lxc on sparc64. The debian template uses rsync to move

nouveau on Linux/sparc64 SunBlade 100
Hello everyone,
Thank you nouveau developers as it seems you may almost of a solution to
my lack of good graphics options for my aging sun system.
I saw here before back in early December of 2011 a most of someone
saying that it seemed that the nouveau drivers almost worked with him
and is Sun Ultra 10. I am someone who is very fond of my Sun systems, I
have two "SunBlade 100"s,

Box unstable after loading zaptel drivers for X100P
Hi list!
I have been experiencing a lot of mystical hangs on my box. At first I
suspected bad memory or motherboard but I found out that the mystical
hangs disappear when I do not load the drivers for my x100p.
The box will only hang under high load (copy operations with 30Mb/sec to a
raid array in the box for example). With little or no load the box will
stay up forever. (The imposed load

CentOS 4.2beta on Sun Ultra 5 (sparc64)
I just wanted to bring some attention to the experimental build of
CentOS that Pasi put together for sparc64 architecture. I installed it
for the first time last night on a Sun Ultra 5 (333MHz, 256MB RAM,
upgraded to 40GB hard disk).
I installed it over a serial console as this is a headless system.
Install went flawlessly. After the install was done and it booted up, I
ssh'd in as root,

CentOS iso for Sparc64 machine
Hi,
I have been looking for CentOS for sparc based machines without luck. I
tried to use birorrent to download it without luck. I really would
appreciate anyone letting me know because I have a Sun Ultra 60 that I would
love to install it on. Thanks!

Great stuff.
Please, can you share your adjustments to the Makefiles

X100P and Mitel SX-2000 Light
I've configured an analog/single line off my mitel sx-2000 to a x100p
card in my *, however when the remote caller drops the line I get a
dialtone back from my pbx and the x100p doesn't detect the end of the
call. Any way I can tell * to drop? I've tried call progress but it
doesn't seem to work...

Hey guys,
I''ve just built a sparc64 (Ultra/5) based firewall with ipp2p compiled
as a module and I''m constantly getting the following message in my logs:
Kernel unaligned access at TPC[100f8490] search_all_edk+0x20/0x4c
[ipt_ipp2p]
I''m running the following versions:
- Kernel 2.6.22

nouveau on Linux/sparc64 -- almost!
Hey all,
First off, I'd like to say many thanks to the nouveau developers!
I've got a Sun Ultra 10 running Debian 6 (testing branch) with an
onboard ATI card and a PCI GeForceMX 4000. So far X works fine on the
ATI card, but I noticed that the DRM driver for the GF4 has a few
unaligned accesses in it (see log). I can actually start X using that
card, but all I get is a black screen

[LLVMdev] llvm for freebsd on sparc64
I am trying to build llvm on freebsd-8.0 on sparc64 CPU.
I patched sources because 'sparc' enum value in
include/llvm/ADT/Triple.h conflicts with gcc typedef 'sparc'.
This allowed llvm itself to build successfully.
But there is an error during gcc frontend compile:
Did not get a target machine! Triplet is sparc64-unknown-freebsd8.0
I think this is because in many places, like in

[LLVMdev] llvm for freebsd on sparc64
We typically handle this by adding a "#undef sparc" in various places. For example see include/llvm/ADT/Triple.h which already has it. You'll probably need to add it to another header somewhere.

X100P voicemail volume too low (quiet)
Hello,
I'm running Asterisk 1.0.6 with zaptel 1.0.6 on Gentoo
Linux with a 2.6.11-gentoo-r2 SMP kernel (but no SMP
hardware) and mpg123 0.59s-r9.
When I leave a voicemail message via my X100P, the
message is way too quiet. I can barely hear it.
I googled this a bit, and I saw similar complaints with
older versions, but no resolutions. Also, many complained
that it was only too quiet via

[LLVMdev] LLVM/Clang on Sparc64
Thanks to Jakob's work on Sparcv9 ABI in Clang and recent changes to
Sparc code generator, I am happy to announce that Clang can self host
itself on Linux/Sparc64 and on FreeBSD/Sparc64.
However, it still fails on a few unit tests and nightly tests,
primarily due to misaligned memory accesses in the code (See bugs
18482, 18500, 18502, 18536, 18693). Unlike other architectures,

speex on sparc seems OK
Hi,
With the talk of speex possibly mis-behaving on PPC, I decided to
check the big-endian architecture I have handy - the Ultrasparc.
- playback of Intel platform .spx files appears fine on the Ultra 10.
- encoding a .wav file and playing back on the Ultra 10 worked too.
My evaluation is that it works the same on my Ultra 10 as it did on my
Intel laptop. But I must say the evaluation was made

X100P/Caller ID: clidtest works, * complains
Hi,
I'm running Asterisk 1.0.8 on Gentoo, with an X100P (clone) card, and
I'm having problems with Caller ID. I have run clidtest, and it seems
happy enough, returning:-
server clidtest # ./clidtest /dev/zap/1

(that number's fake.) However, I'm not getting the caller ID passed
through with *. Sometimes I get a "failed checksum" like
