Trouble phrasing an R command that will run the model i need (ANOVA, nes
Hi John, Thank-you very much for replying, - in answer to your questions: *"As I understand what you wrote, all factors but linelabel are crossed, with linelabel nested within all the other factors?" That's exactly it, *" What is in the highest order cells? Single observations, or multiple scores?" I would say "single observations" - but i have to

R friends, I am using R 2.1.0 in a Win XP . I have a problem working with lists, probably I do not understand how to use them. Lets suppose that a set of patients visit a clinic once a year for 4 years on each visit a test, say 'eib' is performed with results 0 or 1 The patients do not all visit the clinic the 4 times but they missed a lot of visits. Cisco 7960G, Skinny.conf, and reboots
I could use some skinny/Cisco help here. Was finally able to get the phone registered to * but whenever someone tries to call that phone it freezes and reboots itself. Same thing happens when you pick the handset up off the 7960G; it locks and reboots about 5 sec later. Here is what * shows when I plug the phone in: -- Starting Skinny session from 64.72.107.1 Device SEP000F3442E4A7 is

Trouble phrasing an R command that will run the model i need (ANOVA, nested)
Hi, I have been trying to find the appropriate R command to analyse my datasets according to a particular model. Unfortunately, my best attempts at doing so have so far not worked. I am wondering if anybody can help me to figure out what i've been doing wrong, and what i need to do in order to use R correctly? The model is an ANOVA with some crossed factors, interactions, and one nested

function to determine to which class/category a value belongs to?
Hi all, I''ve got a simple contingency table produced with table(), and the upper and lower quartiles (quantile25 and quantile75) for the same dataset. Is there a function that tells me in which category does the value of the quartile falls into? for example: tabsp <- table(fam$I[fam$I>0]) 1 3 6 6 1 1 and for the cumulative frequency distribution tabcum <- cumsum(tabsp) 1 3

fitting a gompertz model through the origin using nls
Dear all! I tried to fit Gompertz growth models to describe cummulative germination rates using nls. I used the following code: germ.model<-nls(percent.germ~a*exp(-b*exp(-k*day)),data=tab,start=list(a=100,b=10,k=0.5)) My problem is that I want that the fitted model goes through the origin, since germination cannot start before the experiment was started, and y-max should be 100. Does anyone

problem accessing complex list data frames
Hi all. I am currently attempting to build a list of sparse matrixes. That I have already achieved, by > vmat <- list() > for (i in 1:n) { > vmat <- c(vmat, sparseMatrix(i,j,x=data) > } How I am trying to select those elements from the list where the column e.g. 999 is not null. I can do this for one of the sparse matrices with > which(vmat[[1]][,999] != 0) which

Reg License
I don't speak on behalf of any developers, but most times it is very difficult to change the license of an open source project, as the consent of all contributors would be needed which is nearly impossible. There are ways, but I don't think it is very likely. Further information about linking gpl is widely available on the net. Afaik it is always allowed to link to any library as long as

The think is my function works with an input matrix of 100x13 and now I tried to execute my function with the big "input file" and it is running form the moment two hours... There is a way to know (how much time could it cost?) The second question is... I want
