Conferences using Manager API
Hi all,
I am trying to setup a three party conference using
the Asterisk Manager API. I am using the Redirect
action over an established two party call. The
procedure I am using is to try to redirect the two
existing channels to a third party. I would expect
this to connect both channels to the third party.
However, one of the two parties gets disconnected. Is
this the expected behavior? Is there

Application registration on Asterisk 1.4 and 1.6?
Hi, I have implemented a custom application module based in some esqueletone code I will provide below. I have tested it with asterisk 1.2.23 and it works fine. But when I tested the same application with a newest version of asterisk like 1.4.* it always returns an error trying to load the module or more specific, trying to register the application.
here is the code:
int load_module(void){

Asterisk Can't start with the default configs
Hi,
I tried to run the make progdocs, but the first time, it said, I have no
doxygen installed. So I compiled the latest release and reconfigure the
asterisk. And after it, ut sucessfully started to build the docs. But it
took a lot of time, So finally I aborted the process...
Is there a way to disable doc creating? The --disable-xmldoc is enough?
Thanks!

Dynamic loading changed in asterisk 1.4
Hi all,
I have browsed through a couple of posts that deal with the failure of
applications that originally worked on asterisk 1.2 but fail on asterisk
1.4, but can't seem to understand what I need to change in my installation.
I also went through the CHANGES.txt file in my asterisk source directory,
and still was none the wiser.
I have a a MySQL integrated Prepaid application which worked

Wrong CVS version ?
Hi,
I've updated my Asterisk 3 times with :
cvs checkout -r v1-0 zaptel asterisk asterisk-addons
and then do
cd asterisk
make clean && make && make install
make samples
make progdocs
and then when I run Asterisk I get :
Asterisk CVS-v1-0-02/11/05-01:46:25, Copyright (C) 1999-2004 Digium.
Is this a bug in CVS handling or am I doing something wrong ? How to check

Not even sure how important this is considering the state of many of the
online docs...
I have doxygen installed as is noted for the requirements for 'make
progdocs', but the make doesn't find dot. I have no idea where dot went, is
or should have been...
I am installing und Suse 9.0 and it's rough. If you forget something

A Couple Questions About a New Project
My compliments on the release of syslinux-5.0 and happy holidays to the
entire Syslinux team.? I have a longer message in me.? Lots of
curiousity about the direction of the project, but that will have to
wait until I finish my first 5.0 project (*not* my first Syslinux
project), which just happens to touch past problems: drive
enumeration.
This particular effort is on a USB flash drive, with two

Help for studying Asterisk source code
Hi Everyone,
I am student and I have to study about the source code of Asterisk. I have
downloaded asterisk and was able to install it on Red Hat Linux. My study is
to go into the source code of asterisk and see how it works, how the
asterisk works when anybody calls to it or when it makes a call which
functions are called. I have to make a chart like which can explain how
everything works.

Upgrading ocfs2 when applying kernel patches.
I am in the middle of rolling RHEL 4 update 5 ( 2.6.9-55) through my
servers. We use a development, QA, and production rollout.
Unfortunately I have ocfs members in each of these groups that need to
share filesystems.
The network compatibility issues between ocfs2 tools 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 are
causing the members to not be able to operate with ocfs.
Hence this breaks my systems or causes me to

"digits" in round()
Hi Folks,
Compare
print(1234567890,digits=4)
# [1] 1.235e+09
print(1234567890,digits=5)
# [1] 1234567890
Granted that
digits: a non-null value for 'digits' specifies the minimum
number of significant digits to be printed in values.
how does R decide to switch from the "1.235e+09" (rounded to
4 digits, i.e. the minumum, in "e" notation) to

variable (column) in a data frame
To the R help list,
When using a data frame, there is no warning or error message
when I refer to a non-existent variable inside the data frame.
Example:

a <- c(1,2,3)
b <- c(11,22,33)
df <- data.frame(a,b)
df
## correct: there is a column in df named 'a'
## the sum is correctly performed

I am confused then. /home/vmail/Maildir is 700 for vmail:vmail. If
dovecot-lda runs as vmail then there's no problem, if it runs as root it
shouldn't face problems either.
How can I determine which user dovecot-lda runs under?
Thanks,
