Laptop SCSI capability supported by CentOS 7
I'm looking for a well-supported ExpressCard or PCMCIA/CardBus SCSI card that can do at least FastSCSI (Narrow, Wide not necessary) that is supported by CentOS 7. I have an Adaptec SlimSCSI 1460D, but it doesn't seem to be supported (it's previously supported by the aha152x driver). Any ideas are welcomed, other than 'just use a desktop.' I am not sure a USB or Firewire

Problems with LTO-3 and U320 on Centos 4.4
I am currently testing an Overland Tape storage unit with a LTO-3 drive on CentOS 4.4. After a random amount of time but usually when we have backed up about 0.5-1TB we get scsi errors which cause the backup to fail. I have rebuilt the box with Solaris 10 x86 and Windoze to prove the hardware and have successfully backed up over 3TB on each OS without error. Can anyone offer advice on how to find

What model LSI card? Is that card on the RHEL hardware support list? Does LSI/Dell have drivers on their site? Have you tried drivers from LSI/Dell and using the dd(driver disk)

Semi-OT: LSI raid card sorta....
I've got a box running C7, just updated (yesterday). It had an onboard RAID controller, and an HBA. I just installed a new, additional RAID card, all LSI. MegaCli64 only sees one controller. I can't seem to find the magic to see the others. I *know* the new card is a MegaRAID - the box it came in says so. The system sees it 1:00.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic SAS1078

Re: virtual drive performance
Hi again, just today an issue I've thought to be resolved popped up again. We backup the machine by doing: virsh snapshot-create-as --domain domain --name backup --no-metadata --atomic --disk-only --diskspec hda, snapshot=external # backup hda.qcow2 virsh blockcommit domain hda --active --pivot Every now and then this process fails with the following error message: error: failed to pivot

CentOS 6 and an SAS drive, hardware
This is... odd. Got a 6.8 box, a Dell R320 lspci tells me 01:00.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID SAS 2008 [Falcon] (rev 03) so it *should* accept an SAS drive. I've got a Cheetah that's a few years old, and having pulled it out of another server (in the datecenter), I put it in this box to zero it out for reuse... and the box refuses to see the drive. *Nothing* in

LSI MegaRAID system status
Dear list, I have inherited a CentOS-5 box with a LSI Sata Raid controller. It is configured as a RAID5 w/hot-standby. My concern is that I have no present means of determining the RAID status w/o downing the system and going into the bios to get status. If a disk has failed and brought the standby disk online, I would like to know about it, the day it happens by seeing it in syslog or getting

Automatically detecting LUNs without a reboot
Hi everybody. I have an HP StorageWorks array connected to one of my servers, connected via an LSI controller (lspci reports: SCSI storage controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic SAS1068E PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS (rev 08)) on an HP DL385 running CentOS 5.5 x86_64. I have set up multipath and all is working but, when I create a snaphost and export it as a new LUN from the HP web interface, it

Re: 答复: virtual drive performance
Just a little catch-up. This time I was able to resolve the issue by doing: virsh blockjob domain hda --abort virsh blockcommit domain hda --active --pivot Last time I had to shut down the virtual machine and do this while being offline. Thanks Wang for your valuable input. As far as the memory goes, there's plenty of head room: $ free -h total used free

Will Xen support PCI add-on card for serial ports?
hi, It looks that Xen currently only support ISA serial port, which is onboard. Is there any plan to support the PCI serial port? Thanks, Neo -- I would remember that if researchers were not ambitious probably today we haven''t the technology we are using! _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com
