Grandstream Bugetone 101 & mwi
I tried to use message waiting indicator, by "Subscribe for MWI" in the
web menu of the phone.
However, it does not light up / flash, even if a voice mail is waiting.
Where is the switch to turn it to?
bye

Bugetone NTP problem..
Hi,
Just got a couple of Bugetone's yesterday..
I updated the firmware to 1.0.3.72 but now it seems to have problems getting the time from the default NTP server.. I also tried time-b.nist.gov but still the time does not seem to work..
I am able to contact the time server from my PC..
Anyone got any ideas?

Yeah, my ports are up to date. I prefer to build some things by hand though. ;-) I updated libtool and got a little

Transfer button on BudgeTone (Re: Transfer of queue call)
The process for transfering a call with the Bugetone is as follows..
1. Press "transfer", you will get a dial tone..
2. Dial in the extension to wish to transfer to..
3. Press the "Redial".. (on the newer phones this is the "send" button)
You don't need the "t" option on your dial string to do transfers with a budgetone..
Later..

Scagnostics - scatterplot diagnostics
The scagnostics package implements the graph theoretic scagnostics
described by Leland Wilkinson, Anushka Anand and Robert Grossman
(http://www.ncdm.uic.edu/publications/files/proc-094.pdf), building on
an old idea of Tukey's to define indices of "interestingness" to help
guide the search for interesting features in the pair-wise
scatterplots of a highly multivariate dataset.

That would be short-sighted imo. Splitting the list or goofy offers to do
the list as a PHPbb, NNTP, or other forums would only serve to dilute the
value of the collective wisdom of the people on this list.

Actually, the first distro with a GUI installer was Yggdrasil, circa 1993.
It installed on 8MB of RAM using X and Athena/FVWM.

in the FreeBSD ports there already is something for ices2 and icecast2.
it's a little on the old side (from november 2002).
cvsup the latest ports tree, though, you should update your box to 4.7
as well ... or 4.8-rc if you really want to be l33t.
i've asked the port maintainer to at least put the oddsock yp hack in
there or at least to update the port, but he hasn't yet.

TE110P + PRI incoming + outgoing extensions question
I just got a TE110P up on an XO PRI - everything looks good so far.
We've been given a block of 23 numbers for the PRI. If I explictly set the
incoming extension in extensions.conf like:
exten => 1153,1,Answer
or:
exten => _XXXX,1,Answer
I can get the incoming call. If I try and do:
exten => s,1,Answer
I'll see something like this:
-- Extension '1153' in context

A few questions before final proposal...
I am attempting to assemble a proposal for a client of mine that is
looking to replace their phone system. I think it's a good first
installation with 4 POTS incoming and 15 extensions, with an overhead
paging system. I also think that it would make a good case for OSS
applications in general.
Being new to * I have a few more questions, but won?t flood the list
with them. I?m not new to

Ices 0.3 compiles OK, but I have troubles to make a config file.
