Cisco 79xx and SIP 7.5 Problems
I recently updated my phones Cisco 7960 phones (3 of them) in a high volume call place, where the Secretaries use the 7960 phones to answer inbound calls, as many as 15 simultaneous calls between all three of them. Since then I have had only constant problems, mainly that after 3 calls on a phone, if they try to xfer or do any ohter things (sometimes just answer the 4th call) the phone freezes,

Rsync to just upload new/updated files without comparing source/destination
Thanks for your inputs. Surprisingly i tried executing the following command but end up deleting ssh.exe in Cygwin folder when source folder path is incorrect or not reachable. rsync --remove-source-files -v -av -r /cygdrive/c/AmitTest/ ssh username at destinationserver:/cygdrive/e/AMIT/AmitTest/ I am wondering if remove source is doing some tricks there but unable to find root cause why ssh.exe

[patch] rsync large file support on AIX and HPUX
Hi, HPUX and some AIX releases have a bug in their implementation of mkstemp(). They do not open the resulting file with O_LARGEFILE. Copying a >2GB file files fails therefore. IRIX, Linux seems to be o.k. There is an efix for AIX available but seems not to be deployed everywhere. everything seems to hang, but system is idle?
Hi All, My one server recently started acting very weird. At fist I couldn't import any images with cobbler as rsync crashes the whole time. I was told to ask on the cobbler list (maybe it's not supported here?) but I left it at that (subscribed to far too many lists already). Yesteday I wanted to copy some stuff from a USB disk to the server (using rsync to update the files which have

Rsync to just upload new/updated files without comparing source/destination
Thanks for info. I was under the assumption that rsync will execute followings steps: 1. Compare first to identify different files (new/updated) --> This is where i am worried due to data size 2. Upload new/updated files 3 Remove source file As per your comment, rsync will compare after uploading to check if files are identical ? Additionally i don't expect to delete directories as i want

Samba 3.x SVN and OS/2 support.
Hi all Samba OS/2 users. I've just added OS/2 style extended attribute support into the SAMBA_3_0 subversion branch code. This depends on the underlying OS supporting EA's and (on linux) the filesystem being mounted with the "user_xattr" mount option and the parameter "ea support = yes" being set in smb.conf. Please check out this code and test it - let me know if

Asterisk Compile Problem on Red Hat 9 resolved
Thanks Noah I got the source with CVS to a Windows machine, this is the source causing the problem, although I suspect that getting the files to Windows and then copying them to Linux was not a good idea. I then got the tarball files, unzipped them on Linux and compiled and everything installed fine. My next goal is to setup 1 SIP channel, and be able to call the Asterisk PBX from a

Problem installing Asterisk with Mandrake 9.1
Hi All, I am trying to get Asterisk up and running on my new Mandrake 9.1 install. I've installed Linux in the "standard" mandrake security mode, and "su" to do my attempts at install. I managed to obtain the source from CVS, and have been able to compile Zaptel. I then ran insmod zaptel, and also make config. I think I have compiled and loaded Zaptel successfully as

I run dovecot + postfix as my email server. Everything is working as expected, but I see an error in the dovecot logs: lmtp(7331): Error: SSL context initialization failed, disabling SSL: ENGINE_init(dynamic) failed Dovecot is running and emails are OK. I wonder why this error and how I can fix it? I see it is a SSL issue but no idea in which direction to look. Thank you for help

Dovecot v1.0.3 -> Sieve "redirect" command returning Sendmail exit status 75
Hello! My local setup here is Exim 4.68, DSPAM 3.8.0 and Dovecot 1.0.5. Entirely on MySQL tables for virtual hosts and authentication. Dovecot does the authentication for Exim. What I am having problems with, is a simple sieve script to redirect a message that matches the "X-DSPAM-Result" header as "Spam" to another email address. When this rule matches, deliver returns in

Can asterisk be run as non root anymore?
safe_asterisk used to work fine but with v1.0.3 I am getting all kinds of permission errors, intermittant failures, etc. Even with file permissions relaxed and ownership set to asterisk it craps out. Seems to work fine when run as root. Comments??? -- Andrew McRory - President/CTO Linux Systems Engineers, Inc. - http://www.linuxsys.com Located in beautiful Tallahassee, Florida Office

cvs stable and 1.0.5
I see that 1.0.5 is out. I thought that if I am tracking cvs v1.0.x I would always get the newest releases. However, I just did a fresh update and install from cvs stable and it reports as only being v1.0.3. Should I just be using the tarballs rather than the cvs -r 1_0? Or maybe my initial cvs was incorrect? Thanks! -- -M There are 10 kinds of people in this world: Those who can count in
