Line-in as MOH source
Hello,
Most traditional PBX-es have the ability to use external audio source
(e.g. radio tuner) for music on hold. This is also useful because you
can let your users listen to radio by dialing some extension.
I wanted to achieve the same on asterisk, and chan_alsa seemed the
logical choice. I installed ALSA drivers, connected the radio to line-in
and added the folowing to extensions.conf:

[PATCH 1/1] Staging: hv: vmbus: Don't wait indefinitely for IRQ resouces
If an attempt is made to load the vmbus driver on a non-Hyper-V platform,
the load operation will hang since we currently wait indefinitely to
retrieve the IRQ information. This is done in the context of an acpi callback
context (which will obviously not happen when this driver is
loaded on a non-Hyper-V platform). This patch fixes the problem.

[PATCH 2/2] drm/atomic: Wait indefinitely and interruptibly for hw_done.
Without waiting for hw_done, previous atomic updates may dereference
the wrong state and cause a lot of confusion. The real fix is fixing
all obj->state to use the accessor macros, but for now wait
indefinitely and interruptibly.

BRIstuff - synchronization with PSTN?
Hello,
for a long time I've been having problems with analog modems and faxes
communicationg over ISDN BRI lines. Now I began to suspect that this is
due to * being out of sync with the PSTN. I have a quadBRI card with
first two ports connected to PSTN, and defined as follows:
span=1,1,0,ccs,ami
span=2,2,0,ccs,ami
This should mean that spans 1 and 2 are used as primary and secondary

Ericsson MD-110 and Dig-410
Hello All
I am wondering is someone knows how to configure the * to work with an
Ericsson MD-110 with SL60 signaling?? through a TLU76 card. What is the
right configuration in the zaptel.conf ? I currently have it configured
as span=3.0.0,ccs,hdb3,crc4 but it doesn't detect anything when I
connect it to the PBX and no activity can be seen either in the logs or
in the asterisk console.

sshd gets stuck: select() in packet_read_seqnr waits indefinitely
Dear OpenSSH Portable sshd developers,
I'm having a problem where sshd login sessions are occasionally
(as often as once a day) getting stuck indefinitely. I enabled debug
messages and got a backtrace of a stuck sshd, and I think I've found
the bug. I wanted to run it by the list once before filing.
sshd version:

glmulti runs indefinitely when using genetic algorithm with lme4
Dear List,
I'm using glmulti for model averaging in R. There are ~10 variables in my
model, making exhaustive screening impractical - I therefore need to use
the genetic algorithm (GA) (call: method = "g").
I need to include random effects so I'm using glmulti as a wrapper for
lme4. Methods for doing this are available here

[PATCH] EFI booting may hang indefinitely when no keyboard is present
EFI booting may hang indefinitely when no keyboard is present on a
machine (or when UEFI has chosen to not init USB due to fast boot).
Reproducible at least with "EFI v2.31 by American Megatrends" on an
Asrock H81M-ITX board.
Reason is the input draining loop near the end in efi/main.c; it calls
ReadKeyStroke() as long as EFI_NOT_READY is not returned. On machines
without keyboard,

Re: Incoming echo cancel
Same problem here: if call come over ISDN PRI and it is for a SIP phone that
equals to strong echo situation, at the SIP end. Interestingly this doesn't
happen on all calls but it does on 95% of them. Asterisk load at that moment
is insignificant - 1 to 2 calls.
I have tried with all possible echo cancellers in zconfig.h, with and
without MMX, and with and without CFLAGS+=-march=i686 in

Sip channel remains active indefinitely
Hello,
In our company we are using Asterisk-cvs-Head with realtime. I am not
able to figure out a issue wherein the sip channel stays active
indefinitely. This happens when a call is in progress and the person
who called doesn't hangup normally but in between the conversation his
ATA gets unregistered or becomes unresponsive. The channel stays active
indefinitely and is seen as a active channel

Resources forks 'dot underscore' files locked indefinitely from MacOSX clients
We have a central samba file share for our designers (who all use OSX
boxes, and mostly use Macromedia products) to work off of. I've lately
been able to track down a lot of application quirks (mostly problems with
errors when saving, about files being locked) to the Mac resource fork
files being indefinitely locked. Here's a sample from a `smbstatus`

Windows Vista 64-bit support
Where does the R build for Vista X64 stand? The last update message is
from July last year (see [R] Improved Windows Vista compatibility from
Prof Brian Ripley on 2007-07-11). Is it likely to happen in 2008? I
suspect that more people will start using it as Vista is adopted more
widely. And I'd certainly use it for large genomics data sets.
Thanks,
Dan Gatti
