Wengo config and G729(a)
Hi list! Again Wengo has made changes to their servers that require modifications to * configs. Is there anyone that has the 'new' wengo working with asterisk that could post their configs? Also they switched codecs, now G720a is required to connect. I can only find an (open) G729 codec, is this the same as G729a? Thanks!

Did nufone change allowed codecs?
Hi, I've been using nufone DIDs for months with no problem. Now there are codec problems that prevent any kind of calls working. For example, May 5 13:04:12 WARNING[928]: channel.c:2115 ast_channel_make_compatible: No path to translate from IAX2/NuFone@NuFone/25(256) to SIP/wengo-out-968a(4) May 5 13:04:12 WARNING[928]: app_dial.c:1006 dial_exec: Had to drop call because I couldn't

Echo after upgrade * 1.05 -> 1.06
Hi list! I have a strange echo problem. Two days ago I setup * 1.0.6. at a friend of mine. Just an * server and for outbound calls wengo.fr was used to place calls via sip. He had a strange echo on the line I didn't experience on my setup. Today I upgraded my asterisk 1.0.5 to 1.0.6 and suddenly I have an echo too on sip calls thru wengo!! I already verified wengo was not the source of

Call routing between two Asterisk boxes using SIP not working ...
Hello there! I need some help to configure two Asterix boxes to route calls using SIP. I followed the instructions present at this site: "http://astbook.asteriskdocs.org/en/2nd_Edition/asterisk-book-html-chunk/connecting_two_asterisk.html", but I couldn't get it working so far. The only difference, besides the names that I've used, is that I'm using realtime to retrieve

Dovecot proxy: per user/domain 'namespace/inbox/prefix' from MySQL
As a way to try and avoid using "prefix = INBOX." ad infinitum for the inbox namespace, I'm looking for ways to move on to "prefix =" for new mail accounts, and grandfather the existing ones. Previously running Courier-IMAP, now Dovecot, I looked at https://wiki.dovecot.org/Namespaces#Backwards_Compatibility:_Courier_IMAP and decided it's too risky to go down that

Kerberos Principal
Hi all, I’m looking to add in a kerberos principal on my server for the AD domain. I see there are ways to do this for user(s), but I don’t see how to add a principal for hosts. In general, I’ld like to add something like the following to me 4.3.4 Domain: ktpass -princ afpserver/fqdn at REALM -mapuser mapuser at domain +rndPass -out afpserver.keytab This is for a netatalk server. I’ve never

Storing voicemail in mysql
Dear friends, Asterisk's voicemail functions work fine for me, but I am having difficulty storing the voice messages inside mysql. My real-time CDR recording works so I assume the odbc connection is fine. The voicemail.conf I have is : [general] format = wav attach = yes dbuser=root dbpass=sqlpass dbhost=localhost dbname=asterisk odbcstorage=asterisk odbctable=voicemessages Asterisk shows

Force Winbind Domain
Hi all, Is there any way to force Winbind to auhenticate against a certain domain even if another was specified? I'm currently having problems authenticating some users on squid as they seem to inform the wrong domain. I can see messages like these on my cache log: Login for user [PROXY1]\[USERNAME]@[WRKSTATION] failed due to [No such user] The problem is that our domain is not called

request.host, proxy chains and HTTP_X_FORWARDED_HOST
Hi, We''ve an application that uses url_for in controllers and views. In views, url_for generates a relative url (as if :only_path where used). All is fine there. However, in controllers, url_for generates a full url, with the host name. This causes problems when we have a chain of Apache proxy servers: My Browser ---> Proxy 1 ----> Proxy 2 ----> Phusion Deployment Server. In

haproxy ssl support
Even though it seems dovecot (using 2.2.33.1) supports haproxy's send-proxy-v2, it seems to lack send-proxy-v2-ssl (which also sends client's ssl state). It would be a nice feature for the backend server to identify clients so one wouldn't have to use disable_plaintext_auth on a production environment. --- haproxy.cfg frontend pop3 bind [::]:110 v4v6 bind

Help setting up SSL?
Hi, Sorry to bother, I don't know if this mailing list is the right place to look for help setting up dovecot.. Anyway I've got standard IMAP working fine, and I used mkcert.sh after editing the openssl config, and it seemed to work properly (I had to change some directories, I am using the FreeBSD 5.1-CURRENT port).. Anyway, when I try to connect using Outlook, here is what the log

LDAP bindpw password
Hi. I'm using Samba 4 on two Zentyal servers as Domain Controller and now I have to authenticate some services to it (Apache and PAM in particular). The LDAP integration asks me for a LDAP bind password, but I cannot find out where it is on Zentyal. Is there a way to check (or change it) directly on Samba 4? Or is it preferable to authenticate against Active Directory or Kerberos? Thank you

A man-in-the-middle attack is not easy to pull off. If you can show me why some person would be incented to attack someone like this, then maybe there is a case for it. As
