IAXphone -> ip address -> extension number.
Hi, I'm trying to set up two ACT SIP/IAX capable phones to communicate with each other on the same internal network, using asterisk 1.0.9 on SuSE 9.3 (because I intend to grow the situation after this basic setup is functioning) The phone IPs are set to 192.168.0.201 and 202 respectively. I've had a look at iax.conf and extensions.conf but cannot see how to tie these IPs to an

Frequency Spectrum fft plot dillema
Hi, I have more questions about the fft. The application in Excel is very limited. In Excel I can adjust graphs and calibrate the x and y-axis. The input and process, however, is limited compared to R. With a Dataset table where one column is the hour difference and the second are the values with hidden frequencies, how is it possible to plot a frequency spectrum with the x-axis calibrated to

Cisco 7905 can't register
My Cisco 7905 can't register with Asterisk (1.0.7-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC7k on Debian stable). It could, however, register with another installation of Asterisk and the settings on the phone (apart from the SIP proxy address) haven't changed since then. On the new Asterisk box my sip.conf contains this: [jeremy] type=friend regexten=801 allow=g729 host=dynamic secret=PASSWORD nat=yes

UpdateHostkeys now enabled by default
Hi, I just fixed a couple of corner-cases relating to UpdateHostkeys in git HEAD and have enabled the option by default. IMO this protocol extension is important because it allows ssh clients to automatically migrate to the best available signature algorithms available on the server and supports our goal of deprecating RSA/SHA1 in the future. We would really appreciate your feedback on this

Bridge networking in Debian
Starting a new Xen setup, with off-the-shelf Wheezy, and the standard Xen packages, which turn out to be Xen 4.1 I used to just put a (network-script network-bridge) in the Xen setup, but I guess you can''t do that anymore... There are a variety of recipes to setup the network and bridging, since apparently the Xen setup doesn''t does this for you anymore. I''ve gone

Virtual Hosts question
I am running Wordpress on a CentOS 6.5 server which is behind a router. The private IP is 192.168.0.99, the public URL is X.com (name changed). I have two virtual hosts in my httpd.conf file. The second one, listed below, is for Wordpress and it is accessed with http://X.com/d4i or http://www.X.com/d4i. They work fine. Actually, not show, I have more Wordpress virtual hosts, and they are

Asterisk as "Proxy" and more device for a number
Hi list! I'm very new in Asterisk and VoIP, and of course I have a problem... :) Well, my problem is, that Deutsche Telekom wants me to change my ISDN to VoIP... :( I must do that, since I have no alternative. Well, I have now two VoIP-phones (Thomson ST2022 and KE1020A). I can configure my two numbers by Deutsche Telekom and I got now an extra number from Messagenet.it. Now the

Cisco 7905G vs ATA186
Hi All, I'm looking at getting some Cisco VoIP hardware to play with in combination with a Asterisk server. I've heard that there is beta software available to do SIP on the 7905G. So, I'm thinking of either getting a 7905G or a ATA186. My dillema is, which one to buy? I can get both for about the same price, has anyone had any experience with using a 7905G with Asterisk? On

buildbot failure in LLVM on llvm-clang-x86_64-expensive-checks-win
I’ve had another look, and some of the failing tests don’t use temporary files, so I don’t think this is a case of tests having side-effects. Instead, I’ve noticed that in the build log (http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/llvm-clang-x86_64-expensive-checks-win/builds/6552/steps/build-unified-tree/logs/stdio), llvm-tblgen.exe is built (my patch modified it), but the table-generation steps of the

Help on creating custom financial time series graphs
I have written a series of C modules that produce various custom (technical analysis) graphs when presented with a financial time series. The code was developed on the Win2K and so makes many now level function calls to the GDI etc, and is very tightly wedded to the Win2k windowing system. I notice however, that most of the graphing functionality in R (at least on the Windows OS) is handled

Samba creating multiple isntances of the deamon
(2005.10.10, 14:25) I am running Samba 3.0.14a-2 on Fedora 4. I have no problem seeing the Linux file system from any of the Windows (2000, SP4) computers attached to the network. The problem is that smbd processes are created for no apparent reason and never die. I noticed this when the computer had been up for about three days and there were some 600 active smbd processes! What could be the

Linux reinstallation without rebooting? Alternative to kickstart and other such tools?
Hi All. I am curious if it is possible to reinstall linux distribution to centos (or another distro) if I have a remote linux server with no kvm access (i do not want to use virtualization). I know that for installation pxe, tftpboot and kickstart or a proper iso/cd and kickstart are standard options. But for such operations I would need kvm access. Are there any alternatives which do not need
