*@Home .6 adding a outside number to a group{Scanned}
Actually, I love my install of AAH 0.6.
When something is not available in AMP I just dive into the configs and
correct it.
Most of the little things ARE available in AMP though so those times are
few...

Route incoming call on 4 X100P to different Ext. {Scanned}
Hello All,
I have 4 X100P cards. I was hoping to have card (line) go to separate ext.
i.e.
Card 1 (XXX)555-0001 My Ext
Card 2 (XXX)555-0002 Wife's Ext
Card 3 (XXX)555-0003 Fax Ext
Card 4 (XXX)555-0004 My and Wife Ext.
This is what I have now and all incoming line rings this one extension.
exten => s,1,Dial(SIP/300,10)
So what is "s" .
Thanks, David

Am I missing something really basic here?????helpwith Asterisk@home {Scanned}
Ok, I thought the point of asterisk@home was that it automatically
detected the X100P board and configured it correctly.
Is this incorrect? You still need to modify /etc/zaptel files? And not
just using the AMP configurator.
There is no mention of this on the Asterisk@home webpage.
Can anyone who has actually used ast6erisk@home confirm this one way or
the other?
Thanks,
Dean

Newbe Questions.
Dear all,
I'm just finished installing the TDM (2 port) and X100P.
I'm using X100P to pstn, and the TDM to the phone.
I've loaded the module,
and I can also list the card in the /proc/zaptel/
I'm a little confused now. in zapatel.conf, how do I know which channel
is which. (TDM or X100P)?
Thanks and pardon my English

Newbe samba confusion - windows to samba to lpd which driver does the translation?
I'm trying hard to understand some very basic samba working. If I'm asking the
question in the wrong list could somebody kindly re-direct me.
When a print job is sent from a windows machine to a printer on a linux samba
server there are a number of 'drivers' (actually just translators) involved:
First the windows machine puts the text and or graphics through the windows

IVR only system with scalibility with asterisk???
Hello all:
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
Background:
I am a new user to IVR systems and asterisk. I have been tasked with helping to set up a system that will only handle IVR (eg no PBX functions) incomming calls for 45 or so people that will call in 3 or 4 time each day during (approx) normal business hours. We have started to look at the Ivrs perl module from

OK, I found LAME's web site and installed it using the source for it. That
appears to work. I also found a couple of libxml... packages and either
replaced the existing ones and added a few others. That went without problem.
However the same problem exists. I found that the lame.h file is in a
directory of /root/lame3.70 Perhaps the make can't find it at this directory?

Newbe Question
Greetings,
Can anyone tell me what to do about "Can't open MIDI device '/dev/sequencer'!
(No such device): Load MIDI sequencer kernel driver !" ?
Is there a way to do this without recompiling my kernel? I have sound
working for everything else. I get this message whenever I try to run
any M$-Office app, such as M$-Word. Lotus Notes v5, et. al. work fine.

Newbe: OK so far?
I tried the 3.70 rpm and received an error that rpm couldn't handle the
version of whatever packaged it. So I had to do things by getting the source
and compiling. The same was true with lame.
Also I copied all the lame headers to the /usr/local/include directory, did
the ./configure which seemed to work and then did the make, which didn't.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Scott
