Samba 3.0.1 windows browsing
Hi again all.
I still haven't resolved this issue of browsing the LAN. Here are a few
details:
* The windows stations can see each other when the Samba server is
off-line
* The windows station can't see each or anything else on the
network when Samba is brought on-line
* Wins support is enabled
* each windows station has proper Wins entries with Wins enabled
* the server and stations

htaccess authentication asks for MySQL table test.user_info
Hello.
For users interested in the MySQL authentication problem for SSL pages,
there is another way
to prevent mod_auth_mysql to do this mySQL authentication. This has been
reported by Brent:
In the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file, add the directive:
<Directory xxxxxx/
AuthMySQLEnable off
AllowOverride All
</Directory>
You can also add it to your .htaccess file.
Thanks

Hello all. I have recently set up Samba on my Rehdat 9 machine. I have
on my home network 2 computers, one running Redhat 9 (with Samba as

Asterisk as "Proxy" and more device for a number
Hi list!
I'm very new in Asterisk and VoIP, and of course I have a problem... :)
Well, my problem is, that Deutsche Telekom wants me to change my ISDN
to VoIP... :(
I must do that, since I have no alternative.
Well, I have now two VoIP-phones (Thomson ST2022 and KE1020A). I can
configure my two numbers by Deutsche Telekom and I got now an extra
number from Messagenet.it.
Now the

DHCP/DNS server for LAN with mainly Windows clients : Outlook Express vs. Webmail problem
Hi,
I recently setup a CentOS 5 file server for a small LAN consisting of 15
Windows XP clients. The LAN is eventually expected to migrate to Linux,
at least some of the client machines.
The previous setup made by a local Windows-only computer firm was an
unhealthy mix of static and dynamic IP addresses with conflicting
adresses, etc. First thing I undertook was clean up this mess by setting

Regarding last report, here is some more information about that bug:
I tried to increase the limits with ulimit before running Rsync to the

"Frame rejections" on E1 trucks
Hi-
I've posted this on the bugs list, but I'd also like to see if others have
had similar problems when connecting via E1 trunks (E400P).
I'm getting numerous errors like the following during inbound calls to my E1
channels. These occur when the system is under medium load:
WARNING[196621]: File chan_zap.c, Line 5404 (zt_pri_error): PRI: !! Got

Static in Audio PRI, Got reject for frame 39, retransmitting frame 39 now, updating n_r!
Anyone know what would cause this error?
!! Got reject for frame 39, retransmitting frame 39 now, updating n_r!
!! Got reject for frame 39, retransmitting frame 40 now, updating n_r!
I assume this would cause audio issues as well.
Thanks,
Steve

Asterisk and Shoretel integration
Hello everybody.
I have a problem with an integration between an Asterisk (1.4.24.1) on
FreeBSD 7.0 and a Shoretel 7.5 server.
To make a very long story short, when someone behind asterisk call an
extension behing shoretel everything work as expected. When someone
behing the shoretel server call someone behind asterisk the first 10
seconds of the call seems ok but then the line is dropped

retransmitting NAT
Hi,
What does retransmitting NAT means? I have a client that uses SPA 942,
and his phone sometimes cannot be called. i did a sip sebug and i keep
on seeing retransmitting NAT.
on the realtime it shows that it is registered, so when i try to call it
, asterisk thinks it is still online so it tries to reach it instead of
saying it's unavailable,
