Xen Version update policy
The latest bunch of test packages are available here: http://au1.mirror.crc.id.au/repo/el8/x86_64/ Hopefully, as of a few hours ago, this set should actually install. Currently, networking won't work as they require brctl - which isn't in EL8. I've written patches for this, but they'll probably end up being part of a cleanup of everything in /etc/xen/scripts/ Problem is,

Random procmail filter failures.
Hi all, I'm seeing a random issue with my procmail filters (only on email from this list) where once every so often, it will fail to filter a message. I am sorting by the to/cc email address, and this rule works on 99.9% of posts, however every now and again, I see something like this happen: From centos-bounces at centos.org Sat Jan 5 01:57:28 2008 Subject: Re: [CentOS]

flex package marked as fc6 and no flex-devel?
Hi all, I'm in the middle of setting up a build environment for OpenWRT and it looks like the packages need flex. Looking at the CentOS repositories, it looks as though the flex package is tagged as fc6 - it also looks like there is no flex-devel package at all. Does anyone know what the go is here? Packaging Xen 4.2.0
Hi all, I''m trying to update my RPMs of 4.1.3 to work with 4.2.0, but I''m having some interesting problems with the packaging side of things. in 4.1.3, xenpaging was being built as /usr/sbin/xenpaging, however in 4.2.0 it is being built as /usr/lib/xen/bin/xenpaging. I''m currently using the following configure options in my .spec: ./configure --libdir=/%{_libdir}

Issues with r8169 gige on boot.
Hi all, I've recently upgraded a system from CentOS 4.4 to CentOS5, and now when the system boots, the r8169 ethernet card doesn't come up. After the boot sequence, if I type "ifup eth1 | ifup eth1.10 | ifup eth1.203" then the adapter starts up ok. It seems to be something with the boot sequence it loads the ethernet adapters a different way around (ie 4.4 eth0 is now

CentOS, RTL8196 and jumbo frames.
Hi all, I've just upgraded my home network to a Linksys SRW2024 (with lovely vlan trunking support!) and I'm trying to enable jumbo frames. When I try to set the MTU of an rtl8169 based network card (it's a Netgear RA311), it comes up with an error stating: # ifconfig eth1 mtu 9000 SIOCSIFMTU: Invalid argument The only options it will take are 1500 or below. Does anyone know

xl and autoballooning
Hi Ian (and all), I recently came across a bug in xl autoballooning in Xen 4.2.2 that I found mentioned way back in May 2012. In a nutshell, I tried to create a new DomU with 1024M of memory. The Dom0 had 3100M free: # xl info | grep memory total_memory : 20479 free_memory : 3100 The guest template is very simple: # cat /etc/xen/template.vm name =

It didn't come back up and fails when booting on: * CPU Microcode update * iptables * eth0 The booting process completes, however as you can imagine, there is no network connectivity at all. The only config changes were installing the new kernel. Booting back into
