Centos 6.4 - doesnt power off with shutdown/poweroff cmd
Hello,
I'm looking for help figuring out why I am having problems with shutting
down a machine.
I have tested the machine using Fedora 19 and Ubuntu 12 Live CD's and both
power down without issues.
I added acpi.debug_level=1 to the grub boot as it was suggested to see more
info about ACPI in the logs
I found the following ACPI Errors in the /var/log/messages

Hello,
the last command (isGeneric) in following R-code (attached) produces
different output, depending on wheter 1.8.0 alpha or 1.7.1 is used.
Is that to be expected ?
Both R Versions were started with option vanilla

[LLVMdev] The use-define chain in LLVM
Thanks for your response!
But I want to determine wheter the specific variable's value has been
changed between
two usages of variable, and wheter the parameter's value is changed in
a function. Like the
reaching definition analysis, and ud chains.

asterisk + door opener
Hi!
I am new to asterisk and I'd like to know wheter the following scenario
is possible:
Someone press the Button on the door station.
The door station dials lets say the extension 333.
I take the call on 333 and talk with the person on the door.
Now I'd like to activate the door opener by pressing some numbers on the
analog telefon.
Asterisk should now recognize that I pressed

[LLVMdev] The use-define chain in LLVM
Maybe My statement is not clear. Take an example:
main.c:
int global;
void fun(int array[], int i){
array[i] = i + 1;
global = i;
}
int main(){
int arr[40], i = 0;
fun(arr, 10);
return 0;
}
Can I determine whether the value of arr array and global variable
have changed after the function call, fun(arr, 10), by LLVM API? It
could be more complicated considerring the nested function

Hello:
I'm running R 2.7.1 in Antix (Mepis kernel but heavily debian based). I have installed libcairo2 (1.6.4-6.1). I tried installing the Cairo package since I'm interested in generating some SVG graphs, and I got the following message:

Cannot add ACL entry in Windows.
Hello,
Just upgraded from Samba 3.0.22 to 3.0.23, running on a SlackWare Linux
Box with a 2.4.31 kernel. All Unix users and samba users are stored in
ldap. Using setfacl renders correct user/groups in the windows acl
editor, and works perfectly. However, when I try to add a user/group in
the Security tab for a share/folder I get the following message

I'm totally new to GlusterFS, but i like it a lot and think about
migrating my NFS setup completely to GlusterFS. But i ran into some
problems with my chosen structure. Hopefully someone can help out.
The first questions: i ran into some performance issues with a certain
structure/setup and like to know (before i continue testing)

Shrink file size of pdf graphics
Hi everyone,
My data consists of a system of nearly 75000 roads, available as a
shapefile. When I plot the road system, by adding the individual roads with
'lines' and store it as a pdf-file with 'pdf' I get a file of size 13 MB.
This is way too large to add it in my LaTeX-document, because there will be
some more graphics of this type.
Now I'm curious to learn wheter there is

Speed up code, profiling, optimization, lapply vs. loops
High everybody,
currently I'm writinig a package that, for a given family of variance
functions depending on a parameter theta, say, computes the extended
quasi likelihood (eql) function for different values of theta.
The computation involves a couple of calls of the 'glm' routine. What
I'm doing now is to call 'lapply' for a list of theta values and a
function, that

print.<strorageMode>() not called when autoprinting
In R-3.6.0 autoprinting was changed so that print methods for the storage
modes are not called when there is no explicit class attribute. E.g.,
% R-3.6.0 --vanilla --quiet

cat(sep="\n ", head(deparse(args(x)), -1)); invisible(x) }
> f <- function(x, ...) { sum( x * seq_along(x) ) }

Cisco 7960g
I'm trying to set-up Asterisk server and I would like to buy 2 SIP
phones.
Has anybody tried Cisco 7960G? Or 7940?
What audio compressions can I use with this phone and Asterisk? Reason
why I'm asking is because Cisco supports G.711 and G.729a audio
compression (probobaly some tohers but they are not listed on data
sheet) and on Asterisk features i found that it supports G.729 but need
