Pinouts for T1/E1 crossover cable WAS "RE: what cable to connect a legacy PBX to a TE410P ?"
Can't anyone stop self-promotion and tell the poor guy what he needs.
A T1/E1 X-over cable using an RJ-45 (8-cond.) is pinned out as follows:
1 - 4
2 - 5
3 - NU
4 - 1
5 - 2
6 - NU
7 - NU
8 - NU
NU = Not Used
I have not in my experience seen any problems with using a Good Quality
Cat5 vs. Cat 3 (telco standard) cable for X-connects. YMMV, but you
should be fine. As far as the shielding

I for one think it is a great idea to buy a book with hard earned money and wait a few days to a week just to get an answer to a question that is freely available on the internet immediately.
Hard pressed to think of anything in the "book" that is not on with wiki with more up to date and useful information.

Best way to connect asterisk to an traditional PBX
Hi list,
we want to connect asterisk to an traditionnal PBX (EADS 6550/Matra).
People from telco told that they can't connect two PBX's using E1/T1 or
only with QSig signaling.
I wanted to use EuroISDN. In this case, it was me told that VN6-VN7
would be used. The PBX has a spare ADQ card installed on which we would
connect. Has someone a such working setup? Is it working well?

Connecting Siemens HiCom PBX with Asterisk through E1
Hi
I've bought the Wildcard TE110 some days ago but I'm unable to get it to work
with Siemens HiCom 300.
I've tried this so far:
1. I've used standard cat5 cable cut off on one edge and twisted wires 1 to 4
and 2 to 3 which is according to cisco a short circuit for E1 lines. Wildcard
takes a few seconds and sets the link to green (OK).
2. I've tried to connect our running

SOLVED: Digium TE405 card and Matra PBX
Hello asterisk-users,
I have solved interconnection between Digium TE405 and Matra PBX.
I plug this card to another computer and with the same
configuration parameters card now works without problem.
First server has 2xPIII/1GHz and 256MB of RAM, Adaptec SCSI
adapter and SCSI system disk. I don't know now, what chipset it
was, but mainboard was from Supermicro, then I pretend Intel
chipset.

Problems with loading TE110 module
Hello!
I discovered, that I'm unable to load ther kernel module under 2.4.28.
Before that I had 2.4.26 and tryed to upgrade the kernel to 2.4.28.
After restart (reboot - soft restart) I can't load the module. When I
go back to 2.4.26 and try to load the module, I'm getting the same
problem.
Only turning off/on helps. What can I do? It's very annoying because
the box is in hosting

Hi,
I have a server with 2 TE110P cards. 1 card is plugged to telco line,
another card is plugged with a Hicom PBX.
I want to send some call to VoIP phones and all other to my PBX.

Is there a product to simulate a PRI trunk?
Does anyone know of a way to simulate the signaling of a PRI trunk for
testing/setup purposes? I realize this may be a rather naive question,
but I was wondering if you could take a TE110, for example, and using a
crossover cable (or not?) and some means of emulating the NI2 signaling
protocol connect it to another TE110 on another machine to test and
verify an installation before the telco

Problem dialing certain numbers with an E1 PRI
I have a server running Asterisk 1.4.14, Zaptel 1.4.6, Libpri-1.4.2 on
a CentOS 5 server. The server has a single TE110 card connected to a
provider called Alestra in Monterrey, Mexico. Since we installed
everything we have been having problems dialing certain numbers, those
numbers always fail when dialed from Asterisk but if you dial from your
cell phone they always go through. I once has a

RGB components of plot() colours
A quick question:
Is there anywhere a listing of the RGB components of the
named colours listed by colors()?
For example, where would I find the RGB for "orange1"
or "salmon"?
When I look at an EPS file from R where I have used
these colours, it seems that for:
"salmon":
0.9804 0.5020 0.4471 rgb
"orange1":
1 0.6471 0 rgb
However, this is a tedious way

Multiple E1s over TDMoE?
When I was trying to run mutiple E1s over TDMoE, the zaptel would
drivers complain about too little memory, whenever I added more than 31
channels. Requesting 62 channels in a dynamic span gave me
... span creation failed: Cannot allocate memory
upon loading the zaptel drivers.
How would you go about running, 8 or 16 say, E1s over TDMoE? Would you
create multiple dynamic spans or just one large

DTMF Sporadicaly Being Generated
I just wanted to see if any one else has seen this or could help point me in
the right direction on this problem.
I have a TE411P card in my * box. I am running FC4 x86_64. I used to have
two TE110 cards in the same box that worked without any problems. Since
changing to the TE411P cards, I am getting random DTMF tones being produced

trouble with \textless in Hmisc latex() on a drop1 object
Yes, it's homework . . . delete now if desired . . . but I think it is an
interesting problem.
Running R 2.11.1, LaTeX on WinXP, via Sweave.
A drop1() object from a glm() produces, as part of its output, a string that
looks like this:
<none>
The trouble I run into is that running latex() on a drop1() object from
glm() produces a string that looks like this in the generated .tex

Is this normal?
Hey, I'm up and running fine with 30 Polycom 500s connected to Asterisk
1.2Beta on Cent OS 4.1 with a Digium TE110 connected to a PRI line.
Nearly every hour, almost on the hour I get this:

Residential router w/ QoS support?
Did anybody ever come across an affordable, residential cable/dsl router
with support for QoS?
The ones I've seen so far (Netgear, D-Link and W-Linx) do not seem to
support it. I noticed that even email can damage a G.711 stream on an
128kbit uplink, leave alone file-sharing applications. I understand this
is strictly related to *, but nevertheless of interest to many of us.
