Applying Dovecot for a large / deep folder-hierarchy archive.
Hi all,
The guidance provided so far has been really helpful, and has helped a
great deal to bringing down wasted energy on finding and executing a
viable path. I am now at the final due action to complete our Dovecot
application to our use-case, but am stuck on an issue that I cannot
find any easily accessible documentation on.
Generally this is what has been done:
1. Uploaded the enterprise

Applying Dovecot for a large / deep folder-hierarchy archive - BUG REPORTS!
Your report is most appreciated, though it lacked quite a lot of detail
that could've expedited the investigation why it happened. With the
further information we can hopefully figure out why you are experiencing
the problems you reported. There is no offense intended.

Applying Dovecot for a large / deep folder-hierarchy archive.
Hello Aki,
Thank you greatly for your advice, it is really valuable to know that
the key criteria for our desired application of Dovecot are
supported (our groupware stacks are running Dovecot 2.3.4.1) prior to
commencing operations to configure Dovecot and migrate enterprise data.
Thanks for the word of caution with regards to mbox format; that was a
slip of the tongue on my part, our groupware

Fwd: Character not allowed in mailbox name
Hi Arnold,
thanks for your assistance. I solved the issue right now by changing
prefix = Shared/%%u/
to
prefix = Shared/%%n/
This omits the @mydomain.de part which holds the dot causing the
trouble. Why this became a problem due to the update I wouldn't know.
Regards

Character not allowed in mailbox name
Hi everybody,
after an update this morning to dovecot 2.3.7 we cannot connect to our
shared mailboxes anymore. The error message as issued in Thunderbird:
"Character not allowed in mailbox name '.'"
I didn't change anything about the configuration. Output of dovecot -n:

? location = maildir:%%h:INDEX=%h/shared/%%u

Mean(s) from values in different row?
Hello:
Is there a way to get a mean from values stored in different rows?
The data looks like this:
YEAR-1, JAN, FEB, ..., DEC
YEAR-2, JAN, FEB, ..., DEC
YEAR-3, JAN, FEB, ..., DEC
What I want is the mean(s) for just the consecutive winter months:
YEAR-1.DEC, YEAR-2.JAN, YEAR-2.FEB
YEAR-2.DEC, YEAR-3.JAN, YEAR-3.FEB
etc.
Thanks.

DNS SRV
I have added in my zone file;
_sip._udp.elmit.com. IN SRV 20 0 5060 vpbx.elmit.com.
As I understand it should mean that any sip connection to
<anyname>@elmit.com should go to the udp port 5060 at the host
vpb.elmit.com.
In Asterisk's extensions.conf I have in the context [default]

Applying Dovecot for a large / deep folder-hierarchy archive.
Hello to you all,
I'd like to ask about my intended application of Dovecot to create a
folder-hierarchy for storing our enterprise emails, which are treated
as live data rather than archives for compliance or occasional /
reactive retrieval.
The data is presently not that large (a few gigabytes), but it is
expected to grow rapidly. Up to this stage the data has been
containedin a Microsoft

Trouble returning 2D array into R from Fortran
Hello,
I have been trying to use a collection of Fortran subroutines to return a 2D
array of calculated values to my R code, calling a Fortran wrapper
subroutine from R. I've done this successfully before with C & C++ code.
The Fortran wrapper subroutine which is to be called by R takes a set of
input arguments & then should return an array of 2 columns & the specified

Speex for TI MSP430 microcontroller - estimating CPU speed requirements?
Interested in building a speex codec (basically audio <-> speex <-> data
stream) using TI's small MSP430 microcontroller. Is there any way to
estimate feasibility based on CPU requirements? Example - speex is happily
encoding on an old Pentium-1 processor (166 MHz) using about half the CPU
(as reported under Linux); the TI microcontrollers are much slower yet
(8-16-25 MHz) and
