IXJ Quicknet PhoneJack issues
Greetings:
We have been running a CVS HEAD version of asterisk from Mar 10, 2005
on ix86 (PIII-600) Linux 2.4.27 with ixj (chan_phone) hardware. In a
hope of getting better 'chan_skinny' support (to attempt using a Cisco
7920 IP phone) I built asterisk 1.2.40 on this box. Initial tests
verify that our previous dialplan is working (iax2 trunks, register

Quicknet PhoneJack Configuration
Hi all,
I am still confused about the way to use asterisk with QuickNet Phonejack. If I am not wrong, The phonejack card should be using the phone.conf as the asterisk channel. I was initially confused with the ZAP channel (The digium card), now that I have found out that Phonejack should use the Linux Telephony Devices and its configuration file is phone.conf, but the question is I do not know

Variable-length dialing with a Quicknet Inetnet PhoneJACK card
Hi, all.
On a lark, I have gotten Asterisk 1.0.2 (from Debian testing) up and
running, but I have found one problem when I try to use it with Free
World Dialup: Dialing doesn't work properly.
I have everything else working; it receives calls, ringing my phone and
everything, but when I try to dial using the configs found on FWD's site
for Asterisk at this URL:

I connected my quicknet phonejack to the wall phone outlet and .......
waited for the aroma of burnt electronics. There wasn't any so I went
to the next room and plugged in a telephone on the wall outlet. I
picked up the handset and it rang my asterisk box.
I dont have any phone service.
The phone is working fine and have used it for hours listening to
podcasts. And I can plug it to any phone in the house.
Now I am thinking if I can plug another phone

Dialplan question
First, here's what I want to do / what I have:
X100P and a Quicknet PhoneJack.
I want to be able to pick up the analog phone (connected to the phonejack)
and dial another computer (with the same hardware) or just make a regular
phone call which will be decided by asterisk depending on the phone number
dialed. I know that this won't be taking full advantage of asterisk, but

Using 2 PhoneJacks with Asterisk for Data calls.
Hi,
I have recently discovered the project along with the PhoneJacks
produced by quicknet, they could be the answer to something I have been
looking into.
I would like to be able to test using a dial-in server & possibily also
a Windows RAS server, however I only have 1 phone line. I was thinking
that I create a setup like that illustrated below to solve the problem:-

Problem with the Internet LineJACK ISA card...
Hi,
I'm having problems with setting up my ISA LineJack card on Linux
machine... I've done everithing according to documentation available, by
compiling the new ixj driver (v1.2.1), loading it, adding device node
/dev/phone0 with major number 100 and minor number 0, adding aliases
into the /etc/modules.conf:
alias char-major-100 phonedev
alias char-major-100-0 ixj
and running depmod

Does anyone have experience with this?
THanks.

I want to purchase atleast one used quicknet card
If you have any quicknet cards you are not using, I may be interested in
them. I'll discuss terms after I know what you have.
For sake of high shipping costs, I'm not interested in overseas shipments to
the United States (where I live). My best resources will be for those that
have PCI PhoneJacks, or PCMCIA CardJacks.
Please reply to my email address, and not the mailing list.

LineJack + Asterisk HELP!
Hello,
I have ISA card LineJack. I could not find any information
if this card can work as fxo with Asterisk. If it can work,
can somebody point me how to install it on my Asterisk box.
Or maybe there is some documentation about it how to install
LineJack.
I will be very thankful for any help.

Hello All...
I have searched in the archive and also followed Zara's instruction on getting
incoming calls to work with Asterisk...but I still can't get Asterisk to answer

I attached a phone set to the PHONE port, and telco line to the LINE port on
the Linejack(ISA) card.

Setup for Go2call ? Or any SIP provider using phonejack or linejack g729 g723
Hi, does anyone have the setup for go2call ?
I have digium boards and quicknet linejacks and phonejacks.
The cards work fine in asterisk without the g729 or g723.1 for the
phonejack.
I will like to do SIP origination using the codec in the phonejack and
linejack g729 or g723 and send the calls to go2call.
Anyone has the setup for this ? Or similar setup to a SIP provider using
g729 or g723

Number of digits
Perhaps this will help...
I have a phone connected to a QuickNet PhoneJack card. When I pick it up, I
get a dial tone. When I dial a certain number of digits, the call is
processed by Asterisk.
The question: How does Asterisk determine how many numbers to let me dial?
I'm banging my head against the desk here... _9XXXXXXX lets me make an
outbound call, but _9X. only lets me dial 9 plus

Asterisk on a dialup connection?
How will this fare?
I am planning on putting an asterisk box for my brother in the
Philippines but they only have dialup internet. I want them to be able
to use a telephone set on a phonejack or linejack card and call me and
vice versa via VOIP.
My setup in the US is working already with a broadband cable
connection.
I am thinking that dialup may not work because of the bandwidth required
