Cisco FXS Issue...
Im sure this has been thrown around this list 1,000 times, and Im sure its been around the net too.. But I have done everything, and cannot seem to get inward calls to be processed on my asterisk box..
First, Let me tell you what works:
1) Softphones (ZoIPer using IAX2 Protocol) Can make calls behind a Natted Firewall to the FXS Port, and it rings, and calls work full duplex.
2) Soyo IP Phone

Internal FXS to SIP problem
I've just setup a new asterisk box (cvs HEAD) with a digium tdm411 and
a couple computers with eyebeam. I have one small. I cannot call the
eyebeam clients from the phone connected the fxs port. I can call the
phone from the eyebeem clients. And, I get both the fxs phone and
eyebeam clients to ring when a call comes in through the fxo port.
I have been trying to get this straightened out

Sangoma FXS dialmap
I have a Sangoma A400 card with two FXS ports. They work fine,
however as I have analog phones connected, I have no way of telling
the phone I am done dialing. Pressing # works fine, but then Asterisk
passes that # over to the POTS line, and about every 5th call, for
some reason that is causing the call on the POTS line to fail. The
suspect the trailing # is also going to get in the way

Zap FXO/FXS issues, 1.2.0-beta1
We're having issues with the FXO/FXS ports on our Digium TDM cards
sporadically. I'm wondering if anyone else has had these problems, or if
anyone can provide guidance diagnosing or fixing the issue?
The symptoms are that the FXO and FXS ports "stop working", usually
after 2-4 weeks of server uptime. When this happens, sending a (SIP)
call to an analog phone on an FXS port

FXS signalling for Ireland
Hi,
I've installed a TDM400 card in an aging Dell Optiplex GXa (see my post a
few weeks ago). The machine powers the card okay, it shows up in an
'lspci', and asterisk runs fine with it. I've tried both 1.0.4 and 1.0.5.
The box in question is running a 2.4 kernel.
However... I'm having trouble getting the card to work with a variaty of
handsets attached to the FXS ports.

FXS Solutions for modems and other non jitter tolerant devices
In the past we have used Adtran Atlas 550's to break out FXS ports for
devices like modems. The great thing about the 550 is that internally it
is all TDM so there is absolutely zero latency.
We are able to use ATA's for faxes and analog phones but devices that use
modems, they fail 99.99% of the time when using an ATA.
We tried to migrate to TA908 devices; they have FXS ports built

Ring Voltage Supplied by Wildcard TDM400P REV E/F & AUTO FXS/DPO
Hi;
I'm trying to connect a TDM400P with an FXS module to a Valcom V-9940
Paging adaptor. This port on the TDM400P was connected to a 2500 Set
and was working I just re-connected it to the Valcom (which is known to
work on a Telco POTS line) and its not picking up. The Valcom docs say
it need a minimum of 75 Volts at 20-30 Hz to recognize a call... So the
question is what ring voltage

Alternatives to FXS cards?
Hi everyone,
I know someone makes a product that's a POTS phone to SIP converter,
where you just plug your POTS phone in one side and the network cable in
the other. Has anyone successfully used any of these with Asterisk, and
if so how expensive were they?
I ask partly out of frustration with the FXS cards but mostly because it
would make installation MUCH easier for what we're

SPA-3000 as FXO Gateway for * (Was: Qs about FXO/FXS cards)
Thanks Rich,
I have an SPA-3000 laying around, so I will attempt to set it up in a
little more conventional manner (although your method looks like a
winner for a home test PBX). Would you mind posting or PM your current
config to me, maybe screenshots if you PM. If I start with that it will
take less time to get to the point where the SPA-3000 is a true FXO-FXS
gateway for *. I will be happy to

Changing ring cadence on FXS lines
Is there a way I can change the ring cadence on FXS lines on a system using a Digium Wildcard TDM2400 card? I recently deployed a new phone system, and the customer has a few POTS phones in areas where they don't have data network services, so we're using the FXS lines to provide dialtone at those outbuildings. The old phone system would ring those phones with a short ring-short

Answer call waiting / flash with Zaptel POTS and VOIP
Hello, hoping someone out there has some ideas -
I have a VOIP line that has call waiting. It is terminated at a Sipura 3000
and the POTS side of that device connects to an FXO port in my * box. I also
have a POTS/PSTN line that terminates in another FXO port on my * box.
There are two FXS ports which feed cordless phones. I'm using the Zaptel
TDM400 card.
This gives 2 extensions + 2 lines

SPA-3000 as FXO Gateway for * (Was: Qs aboutFXO/FXS cards)
Voxilla.com has a great config wizard for the SPA-3000 and *
http://voxilla.com/spa3kasterisk.php
I took the output from this wizard and dumped it on my test box with an
SPA 3000 (with some mods to match my * contexts) and everything worked
great.
Calls from the PSTN to the spa3000 are routed to dialplan #8 on the
spa3000, which dials *

FXS + Pots Extensions Help
Hello all,
Normally I just use pri's with our asterisk systems, but a request came
in to add some normal pots lines to the setup. We have 3 lines, and they
run into the fxs ports. They hit the dialplan just fine, and they always
dial the "s" extension. However, my question would be... Is there a way
to determine what number was dialed and have it forward to a specific
phone? With a

FXS card with 3-way call, transfer and call waiting.
Hi,
I would like to understand how those features (subject) work on fxs ports.
Unfortunately I don't have a digium card with this kind of port, then any
help will be appreciated. I tried to gather some information from google and
this list history, but I still need some help.

can press *flash*, call to B-person and

Pulver's WiSIP with Linksys WAPs
I recently got a Pulver Innovations WiSIP wireless SIP phone to
determine if we want to use them in our organization. Since the WiSIP
phone arrived last week, I have had nothing but headaches. I do think
I now have the problem narrowed down.
I have spent a bulk of my time trying to get the WiSIP to work with a
couple of Linksys WAP11 Version 2.2. I have met with no success in
getting the WiSIP

Modem support via Cisco FXS ports?
I need to do some modem testing at work, just to make sure that I can
dial into an emergency serial console modem before I put it into a box
and ship it. Unfortunately, we don't have easy access to a pair of
POTS lines in the office right now. Looking around the test lab, we
have a Cisco 3640 with a 2FXS VIC in it. I can plug my laptop's modem
into one FXS port, and plug the serial

Call waiting question for those who know the source
I've tried to ask this before but didn't want to waste a lot of
bandwidth. However, I have to give the params in order to make the
exact question understood.
We have
2 ZAP FXO connected to two phone lines(2xX100P)
3 phones connected to a TDM400P with FXS modules
Usually a caller will be on ZAP/2 and the first outbound line in the
g1 group is on ZAP/1.
There are two (main) call waiting

Call Waiting Issues
I have two call waiting problems.
I have a POTS line into and FXO port

waiting call.
I see the callerid coming though and here the call waiting tone,
but I just can't seem to answer it. The flash button seems to have no
effect.

WiSIP Firmware Version F?
Greetings,
I purchased a WiSIP at the VON conference and am now trying to configure it
to work with Asterisk. I have read all of the previous postings regarding
the WiSIP and most of the information apparently does not apply to the
version of firmware installed on my phone (version WF.00.0F).
I cannot get the WiSIP to register with my Asterisk box. It leases an IP
from my DHCP server, then
