SPA-841 "Decode Latency"?
We're investigating audio quality issues in our system; maybe someone
can help. We're using Asterisk as a basic PBX, with a single PRI on one
side and SIP phones on the other: Sipura SPA-841's.
We're experiencing several audio effects which seem to commonly
correspond to network failures (packet loss, high jitter, etc manifested
as "robot voice", dropouts, periodic

Phone attached to Sipura SPA-1001 has no ring
I hooked up a SPA-1001 with asterisk yesterday and all works well except
the phone doesn't ring.
The phone I'm using has a LCD display so I can see the call come in.
(with caller id info)
I can answer and complete the call but it's just not ringing.
The phone rings if pluged into a POTS line so it's not the phone that's
the problem.
I've used the SPA-1001's web

canreinvite=yes not working with sipura device.
I'm trying to get canreinvite=yes to work. I would like
asterisk to release the line and let the 2 ports on the sipura
device to talk to each other directly. Is there a setting
I need to activate on the sipura device, or is there something
else I need to do? It's possible that it is a nat problem as the
sip device is behind a firewall, but it works fine otherwise.
Any suggestions?

Sipura SPA-2000 and Asterisk
Hi,
I'm using the SPA-2000 with firmware 1.06 on the Asterisk PBX, which works
great for taking and placing calls, but for for some
reason I can't seem to clear the stutter dialtone by either calling the
extension I'm on, or the voicemail system on the Asterisk PBX.
If I call my voicemail access extension directly, It tells me I have no
messages waiting, yet when I hang up, then

Sipura 3000 help
Anyone know what I need to do to get the FXO port on the SPA 3000 to
forward calls to Asterisk? My Asterisk is running on port 5061 and I
set the dial plan on the device to forward to s@asteriskip:5061 but
Asterisk is not picking it up. I can see on tcpdump traces that the
Invite packets do go to through to the asterisk machine on port 5061,
but it's not picking them up. sip debug does not

Sipura SPA-2000 won't ring
I had a Grandstream 286 at my home hitting my Asterisk box at the office,
all worked well and I received phone calls fine until the device just up and
died.
I replaced this unit with an SPA-2000 because I have been impressed with the
Sipura devices and decided to use them for most of my needs in the future.
Problem is that my phone attached to the device rings shortly after power up

Sipura SPA-2000 is shipping, discount for asterisk-users
Some people on this group may have understood from messages posted here that
the Sipura SPA-2000 is not currently available for shipping. That is not the
case. Voxilla.com has the Sipura SPA-2000 available for immediate shipping,
and has had them since late November. The price is $109.95, and it comes
with a month of free VoicePulse service with activation fees waived (a $65
value).

SIPURA SPA-2000 webserver dead after firmwareupgrade
<< Has anyone seen something like that and is there a fix? A google
search didn't turn up any apparent hits.>>
I have seen exactly this problem. Even IVR failed to work. Got an RMA
from the supplier and they exchanged with no questions.

Sipura SPA-2000 anyone?
If I understand correctly the Sipura people are the same guys that made
the Cisco ATA (Komodo phone) or what ever. I'm going to get one of the
Sipura SPA-2000 to use and abuse with *.... I have seen the web
interface.. John over at Chagres was nice enough to let me login to one
and look around a few weeks back... I'm impressed .. if you guys care to

SPA-2000 Dropped calls
Been having a problem with my two Sipura 2000's dropping calls from the
SPA-2000 side. Seems the calls are dropped right before the "Next
Registration" time. Calls drop about ever 60 minutes or so. I have
dialed from one port to the other and let it sit. After about 60 minutes
or so the calls get dropped.

Sipura 2000 x dual g729 channels x other choices?
I found a thread [1] last month about the poor/crappy g729 quality on
Sipura units. Anyone noticed an improvement or the quality is still poor?
If the Sipura firmware/g729 offers no quality yet, who else is offering
a dual channel g729 ATA? I heard about Uniden, but I have no "reports"
about their ATA...

ArtDio IPF-2000 or Sipura SPA-841
I am looking at some lower cost phone to use with Asterisk. What is the
ArtDio IPF-2000 or the Sipura SPA-841 like? Also, I see voipsupply.com has
an ArtDio IPF-1000 listed, is this a new or an old model? I cannot find
any information on it.

Sipura SPA-2000
Hello,
I am very new to asterisk and voip in general and so far have managed to get the FXO card and a few sip phones working fine. My question is where does the Sipura SPA 2000 come in the picture? Can it be used as an extension (i.e FXS) ? Or is it to be used as a line (i.e FXO)? Or it can be used as both? My understanding is that its just like another ATA186. Is that true?
I guess what I

Sipura 2000 not answering em_w calls
I recently purchased a Sipura 2000 and connected a phone to it which is
connected to my asterisk box via sip.
Calls to the Sipura 2000 work fine from another sip device connected
through *, from either an fxo or fxs (via adtran channel bank connected
to a T400P card) port. However, when a call comes in from the phone
company over a T1 with em_w trunks, the phone on the Sipura will ring
but I

Can somebody email me the Sipura SPA-2000 and SPA-3000 documentation?
I heard Sipura had really awesome documentation on the SPA-2000 and
SPA-3000, but you have to email them for it. When I did, they said I had to
get it from a reseller. It's been a while since I bought my units, I don't
even remember where or who they were bought from. Can somebody email me the
documentation for these devices? I'm quite interested in knowing what every

Sipura spa-2000 / 3000: surge protection
I am located in the UK, and I am using Sipura spa-2000 adapters to
connect analog phones to a voip network. The network connects to the
PSTN as well via the Sipura spa-3000 adapter.
I would like to provide surge protection for the spa-2000 and the
spa-3000 adapters.
1. For spa-2000, fxs port: What is the maximum tip-to-ring voltage
before damage to the the adapter occurs?

OT: Sipura SPA 200 Caller ID Problem
Sorry to bug all of you with this, but I have to assume there are a
number of Sipura experts here...
I have a Sipura SPA 2000 that I've been using for nearly 2 years now.
It's flashed up to firmware 3.1.5.
On line 1, I no longer get Caller ID (it used to work, and I can't
remember when it stopped). On line 2, I always get Caller ID. To my old
eyes, _every_ switch on both lines

SIPURA SPA-2000 webserver dead after firmware upgrade
I just got a refurb Sipura SPA-2000 and was able to assign it an IP
address with DHCP and ping the device, but then I ran the firmware
upgrade utility to bring it up to spa2k-2.0.13g which seemed to
work just fine, but after it rebooted I cannot connect to its
webserver for configuration. I can still ping the unit. When
I use the built in voice menu it reads back the right IP address,

Sipura SPA-941 not available after Asterisk & Freepbx upgrade
I'm experiencing a problem with a Sipura SPA-941 not available for incoming
calls after Asterisk & Freepbx upgrade. I can dial out with the phone gto
any other internal or external ext. It is registered with the Asterisk
server. When I dial the Sipura directly from any other extension, it goes
directly to vm. I have other Sip softphones that are working fine. A sip
