DAHDI Dummy for Linux VServers
I'm running dahdi on the host system, and have added the /dev/dahdi/ devices to the guest vserver as recommended in Beave's "Virtual Private Asterisk" whitepaper (http://www.telephreak.org/papers/vpa/). I tried copying libtonezone.so and libtonezone.h to the guest, but I couldn't anything to replace zaptel.h in DAHDI souce (it seems dahdi.h was deprecated?). I need to

Zaptel/DAHDI ztdummy only
Let me know if I should post this on the asterisk-dev list instead. I am building a Linux-Vserver (http://www.linux-vserver.org) host system that will have several guests running Asterisk. Since the guests can't load kernel modules or do other dangerous stuff, but can access them I built zaptel 1.4 and it is now loaded by the host. The issue I see is there will be no "Zaptel"

Insufficient Disk Space
I'm looking at migrating a small Netware 3.12 server to a Linux box with samba for a small office. They use a DOS program called `ACCPAC' to do their accounting; both the program and it's data reside on different exported volumes on the netware system. I set up a linux box (for testing- deployment later, maybe) to make sure the program would run with samba before going ahead and just

Open Source in an Economic Downturn: Asterisk stories needed
I'm giving a talk at SCALE 2009 (Southern CAlifornia Linux Expo) on Sunday in Los Angeles, and the topic of my talk is "Open Source in an Economic Downturn". I've got lots of talking points for this talk, but it would be interesting to hear some short anecdotes about how you in the Asterisk community are thriving, or at least surviving, by virtue of the benefits of

Network time sync and reverse NetBios name lookup
I made a somewhat deep check for time synchronization and I couldn't find what I was looking for. What I need to do is synchronize the clock on a Linux box to the clock on an NT server. I can't use NTP or any other protocol because the NT box doesn't understand it. Any pointers would be great. The second issue is that I need to do (if possible) a reverse NetBios name lookup by

Author wanted for Dovecot article in Linux Magazine (Germany)
Hi list, I am an editor at the German Linux Magazine and I am searching for an author or input on Dovecot, its advantages and especially the recent features. I had organized some authors, but unfortunately they don't have time right now. :-) Nevertheless I heard many positive comments on Dovecot. I can write or help writing the article, but I would love to have some input from an
