NUMA placement failed, performance might be affected
Solved. For the archives: Noticed in xl info output that only 1 core was recognised, even though nr_cpus should show 16 on this box. Tried rebooting and selecting the old .34 kernel, console printed "smpboot: do_boot_cpu failed(-1) to wakeup CPU#1" and CentOS failed to boot. Powered down the box fully and started back up with the latest .44 kernel and everything is working fine

asterisk/oh323 segfaults
Dear List, I've compiled asterisk (both 0.9.0 and the CVS-04/19/04 source trees). I'm using the oh323 channel driver version 0.5.10, OpenH323 v1.12.2, PWlib v1.5.2 When run on a RedHat 9 system, I am constantly getting seg faults. This happens even when I tried removing the oh323 channel driver, so it appears to be something with asterisk. I get crashes either when attempting to

NUMA placement failed, performance might be affected
I just did a yum update on a CentOS 7 / Xen 4.6 server which took me from kernel-3.18.34-20.el7.x86_64 -> kernel-3.18.44-20.el7.x86_64 After rebooting, the following notice is printed immediately upon xl create'ing a domain: libxl: notice: libxl_numa.c:499:libxl__get_numa_candidate: NUMA placement failed, performance might be affected Indeed performance is significantly degraded. Panic: file auth-request.c
Hello Dovecot list, We've been running a really old CentOS 5 server with the stock dovecot from yum (1.0.7) for years and years with absolutely no problems. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, or something like that. Well it finally broke, but only due to the server no longer being able to handle the load of the increasing user base (many thousands now, with hundreds of concurrent

CentOS 7 / Xen 4.6 on UEFI system?
Wondering if anyone has managed to get Xen to boot from UEFI? We have a relatively new server with a Supermicro X11SSH-F mainboard with an M.2 SSD. If we switch the boot mode to Legacy in the BIOS no boot devices show up. The vendor says this is because M.2 SSD is only supported in UEFI mode. We even tried installing some spinning SATA drives and a USB thumb drive but those don't show up as

VM migration problems
I may have run into this issue before too, but in my case the VMs ran fine with only 1 vcpu so I booted them that way and left them like that. It was just a few small legacy VMs and I didn't spend any more time on it. Did you try booting with only 1 vcpu? hot-plug vfb on Xen domU?
I want to give my clients access to their Xen domU consoles using VNC. This works great using vfb device configured as type=vnc. However I have 2 problems: * I can't figure out how I can add a vfb device to a running domain without restarting it (I have 100+ domU's I want to enable this on, and want to avoid restarting them all if possible) * Related, I can't figure out how I can

CentOS 8 Install as DOMU in PV Environment
We tried to get CentOS 8 domU working in PV mode as well but did not have any success and ended up deploying it in HVM mode. The reason OP have was lack of hardware support for HVM. This wasn't our rationale for wanting to run in PV mode. Our rationale was that we prefer to deploy CentOS 7 VMs on LVs which are formatted and deployed from an image on dom0 and don't have any partition

STOP THIS DIGEST EMAIL.
I have tried in vain to address the Samba List Processor, and get these 'Samba Digest' messages stopped. I followed your procedure exactly, several times, to NO avail. Please contact your systems admin for me and have them STOP THIS DIGEST EMAIL. Also let them know the supposed 'automated' procedure for stopping it does not work. Thanks Systems Administrator Christian Medical

Strange second REINVITE being sent
I'm using Asterisk a SIP Server for a lot of GrandStream HandyTone ATA's. Each one of them is configured in sip.conf as: [1234567] type=friend username=1234567 secret=1234567 callerid="ATA 1234567" host=dynamic nat=yes qualify=yes disallow=all allow=g729 canreinvite is set globally to YES. When one ATA calls another, I see the next traffic on Ethereal (just shown the sequence

T.38 and reinvite
I have a setup with a number of customer Asterisks with T.38 enabled. This works quite well for each customer sending faxes between branch offices. They all have a SIP trunk to a central Asterisk, which connects them to the PSTN through various providers on dedicated lines. I cannot enable reinvite on those SIP trunks, because that would allow calls from the customer's phones to get

X100P Ireland Red Alarm (AR Tarzi)
Ahhh this could be my problem! I just checked which wires on the RJ11 cable had a voltage across them and it was the yellow and green (3 & 4?). From what someone posted the other day it's supposed to be Bumble Bee and Christmas Tree. I did have to get a technician out to fix my line when it was first installed because it was dead. Maybe he wired it up incorrectly or maybe they just do it

Dear All, I am having a problem in a scenario I am doing, I have two branches, every branch has has an asterisk@home that deals with each branch locally and a trunk connected to a central asterisk, now if any branch wants to call another branch it goes from the local asterisk@ home --> to the central asterisk server and then forwarded --> to the remote asterisk@home server --> to the

Changing REINVITE status of the channel dynamically
I've an Asterisk server running in my office, which forwards all long distance calls to a third party SIP service using an extension rule: exten => _1XX0.,1,Dial(SIP/{EXTEN:4}@external_sip_server.com) (1XX0 is the international calls rule for Chile) Also, in my sip.conf, I've defined canreinvite=yes to decrease the network load to the server caused by the RTP. However, the external

reinvite
I've never used "reinvite" in systems I have installed to date, and I have finally run across a situation where it would be preferred. A remote office has a flaky Internet connection. With G729 encoding the calls to the central office over the 'net are tolerable. One Linksys 2102 drives two phones at this location, and when the first one calls the second one it travels to
