Xorcom Rapid CD for Production?
Hi All, The past day or so I've setup a new * server based upon the Xorcom Rapid ISO. It did as promised; wiped the base system, installed Debian OS, installed Asterisk with a dummy configuration. So far so good. If I could get the config from my existing * server migrated to the Xorcom box the I'd be ready to roll. Essentially, it would be the same as I have now on Fedora Core 1, but

Asterisk 1.4 and ISDN-BRI support
Hi list, Has anyone been able to get ISDN-BRI support to work reliably on Asterisk 1.4? If so, I'd love to know how you did it (hardware, distro, kernel, modules, versions, config files). I've tried to get it to work on a Debian etch system with an HFC-PCI card and the zaptel package (v1.4.7, also from xorcom.com), but with no luck: all three channels that are created when the

Zap dialling issues
I'm having problems getting an Xorcom USB Bri 4 dialling out in Australia. I can receive calls into the system without an issue, but I can not for the life of me dial out of the system. Below are my configs, I'm hoping its something simple that I just can't see as I've been looking at it for to long. Can any one point me in the right direction. P.S. Yes it is meant to be in TE

Rapid Random Access
I have some code that can potentially produce a huge number of large-ish R data frames, each of a different number of rows. All the data frames together will be way too big to keep in R's memory, but we'll assume a single one is manageable. It's just when there's a million of them that the machine might start to burn up. However I might, for example, want to compute some

Xorcom Bri 4 Port USB
Hi, I'm having some trouble setting up a Xorcom Bri 4 port. I have compiled asterisk and zaptel using the Bristuff bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-g patches. So I'm running zaptel-1.2.17.1 and asterisk-1.2.18. The problem I'm having is that for one I get no LEDs showing if the unit is in TE and NT mode (not a issue for me but may have some impact on things) I have no errors in any logs I

Trying to configure xorcom on Suse 11
I'm having trouble getting a xorcom set up. A large part of the problem is that the box is a _long_ way away and I can't get to/at it easily, so while I could probably fix this in a few hours if the machine were in front of me, I'm struggling over a slow unreliable laggy link. Ok, enough whining from me. I have a new Xorcom plugged into the usb of a Suse 11 machine I built Dahdi

Rapid deployment of CentOS on HP Proliant machines
Has anyone successfully deployed CentOS on HP Proliant servers using the Altiris Rapid Deployment (RDP) framework? This works out of the box with RHEL 5.1 but I have not been able to get this to work with CentOS 5.1. If anyone knows of an article on all the details to be able to deploy CentOS to a bare machine Proliant Server, I would appreciate a pointer. I did make the changes to the

Has anyone experienced this problem, and perhaps implemented some kind of queueing system? Any other suggestions? Thanks! Thanks, Joshua Sierles

Fwd: Rapid GUI Development with QtRuby
Just in case some of you missed it, Pragmatic Programmers just published their first of a series of short, PDF-only books. This one is on qtRuby. It would be great to have something like this for wxRuby. I don''t think wxRuby is quite ready to this (yet), but I thought I''d plant the idea. Xorcom Astribank udev issue in Ubuntu 9.10
Hi, I have upgraded an Asterisk installation with a Xorcom BRI Astribank that was working under Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 9.10 and the device is no longer initialized. When I reload the udev rules, I see that the rules seems to be correctly loaded: udevd[452]: reading '/etc/udev/rules.d/40-xpp.rules' as rules file However, these rules do not seem to be triggered: # udevadm trigger
