Chan Local, Originate and slin
Hi all!
Asterisk 13.1.0 Ubuntu 16.04, all latest.
Can anybody explain this to me - I run Originate command from dialplan:
same => n,Originate(Local/${number}@mycontext,app,ConfBridge,${confnum})
and I get crazy sound distortion in the conference, and I see that
transcoding takes place here:

Background() App From AGI
I have the following python AGI script.
I know it's been abstracted, but it's still pretty easy to see what's happening.
self.agi.channelAnswer()
self.agi.wait(1)
self.agi.execCmd("background","enter-conf-call-number","")
self.agi.execCmd("Read","confNum|||","")

Conferences using Manager API
Hi all,
I am trying to setup a three party conference using
the Asterisk Manager API. I am using the Redirect
action over an established two party call. The
procedure I am using is to try to redirect the two
existing channels to a third party. I would expect
this to connect both channels to the third party.
However, one of the two parties gets disconnected. Is
this the expected behavior? Is there

ODBC dialplan looping problem
All,
Thank you in advance for any help.
I have a customer in need of a conferencing system. A requirement is for
users to each have their own PIN for the same bridge.
So, I put the list of users, PINs bridges into a MYSQL DB and used an ODBC
connector to parse the table.
Asterisk is connected and reads the rows as expected. The problem is that
if a user enters a PIN that is NOT in the table,

How to get meetme participants in dialplan?
The meetmeadmin() dialplan function lets you specify a user to mute,
un-mute or kick. But how do you get a list of users in your dialplan?
When a user joins a conference, the user number assigned is "the last user
number +1." If you have a long running conference with callers joining and
leaving all the time, this can grow to be a large number.
I want to be able to

MeetMe questions
I'm looking into deploying * for an internal conference call server (using
MeetMe) and had a couple of quick questions for those of you who have used
it. I checked the Wiki but there weren't a lot of details for MeetMe.
- Can you limit the size of a conference "room", ie max 8 people, etc.
- Is there a list somewhere (besides the source ;) that has all the commands

MeetME Conferencing
Can anyone point me to a sample or information on using MeetMe like
this?
Conference room is set up with 2 PINs, one for the moderator and one for
the participants.
Participants get music until the moderator joins (to avoid wild,
un-moderated tangents).
Call is ended and all participants are kicked out when the moderator
leaves (or the moderator can kick everyone out via phone keypad).

Meetme and authentication
Hi all,
I have thoroughly read the available documentation and I can't seem to
find a workaround for my setup...
I'm trying to create a phone conference line that users would call using
a unique phone number (no matter if they are moderators or just plain
users). I use Asterisk 1.2.6
The available conferences are defined as follows:
conf => 1000,user pin1, moderator pin1
conf =>

Codec Issue
Hi,
I have an issue which is kind of a catch 22 situation. I had outgoing calls
to my new PSTN provider working perfectly. Then I started focussing on
incoming calls. It seems that I can solve an error which gets my incoming
calls working but that in turns means my outgoing calls don't work. -
Strange
Anyhow I was getting an error:
Process_sdp: No compatible codecs!
And from the SIP

English vs American voice files
My wife's got an appropriate Southern England (Wimbledon) accent and I'm
sure she would try her hand. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of the
words that need to be said? Matt, do you have them if your wife's done a
set for French users?
Mark, if you have the kit maybe you could chop up the file? I write a
utility to chop up and compress the wave file based on some of the C
