using built-in extension numbers on the ZAP channel
hello, using a legacy PBX to access a Asterisk Zap channel (Legacy PBX FXS --> FXO application Asterisk/TDM400P) I want to be able to "flash" the asterisk pbx. However by pressing the FLASH button on the extension connected to the Legacy PBX gets me the flash features on the Legacy PBX, not on the Asterisk PBX side. I thought of using the following codes (listed below) from

I got a new motherboard and upgraded Asterisk, ... However, I am not lucky enough to get it running again. To compile went ok, besides this remark at the end of asterisk: WARNING WARNING WARNING Your Asterisk modules directory, located at /usr/lib/asterisk/modules contains modules that were not installed by this version of Asterisk. Cannot load wcfxo -- Please help!
I'm afraid that I am at a loss here. I am new to Asterisk, and have successfully set up SIP. But I cannot get my FXS card working, and I'm not sure what else I can try. # modprobe wcfxo /lib/modules/2.4.21-37.0.1.ELsmp/misc/wcfxo.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters. [this message is a resend, I apologise for duplicates, but I think the original mail did not make it.] 12/3/2004 hi, I followed the instructions faithfully in http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+Fedora+Core+3 and the directions were very understandable and almost painless. I did miss the documentation, as "make progdocs" would not work since the package "doxygen" was not

wctdm, issue w/outbound calls
Hi all, I've been running Asterisk with a TDM400P for about 6months, no problems. 2 in/outgoing analog lines, one analog phone. Recently I was messing with the XTEN client, got to finagling with things, and not knowing what was wrong I upgraded from 1.0.7 to 1.0.9 (both asterisk + zaptel). I was testing various things, and found everything worked except outgoing calls. So I checked

TDM400P + Asterisk + zaptel timer ?
Hello, I thought that my Digium TDM400P would be the right hardware to support the zaptel timer, and put the following IAX.CONF entry to test, (trunk=yes) in the example below [VHAX] type=peer auth=md5 username=whoknows jitterbuffer=yes ;trunk=yes secret=terriblesecret host=4.5.6.7 qualify=1200 disallow=all allow=ulaw allow=gsm ;allow=g711u ;allow=g711a But, it didn't work. So I had to

can FXS ports on TDM400P provide Battery Reversal or CPC
Hello, I want to use Asterisk PBX in front of my old, legacy PBX. The legacy PBX can be outfitted with caller-ID and is already able to handle Calling Party Control Signal Detection (this is a Panasonic KX-TD1232 Super Hybrid PBX. My question is how would one enable Asterisk to control the TDM400P/FXS port to provide to the /FXO CO port on the legacy PBX, support for proper answer supervision/CPC

Need more meetme users -- hitting some limit
I'm trying to determine the capacity of my host running Asterisk 11.8.1 on CentOS 6.5. The host is an Intel E3-1240v3 with 8GB RAM, an SSD, and gigabit Ethernet. The primary application will be bridging groups of users using meetme(). I'm using 2 boxes -- 1 to initiate calls using call files (box1), and 1 behaving a bit more like a production box -- bridging calls (box2). The call

dialplan selection
Hello, I would like to parse inbound Asterisk IAX2 7-digit numbers in the form of 123-4567 and strip out the first four digits, and then dial whatever number digits remain. If I only have three digits (000-999) and have a mix of channels (ZAP, SIP, IAX2) could someone please point out how I can use a single DIAL command to just dial the extension regardless of the type of channel. .. For each

Sound quality issue in one direction and wctdm problem with APIC enabled kernel
I'm chasing down a pop/click type of disturbance on a PBX system. Strangely, the disturbance is only heard by the outside caller, the internal recipient hears the caller crystal clear. This seems to have crept up when upgrading the zaptel driver to the 1.2 series while running 1.0.10. I went ahead and upgraded the entire system to 1.2.4. The system is a ~2Ghz AMD 32bit system, with 512MB of

"scratchy" sound on TE410P
asterisk 1.4.35 dahdi 2.3.0.1+2.3.0 one span on a 4port T1 card Got complaints this morning that outbound and inbound calls were "scratchy" and I made a few test calls. It kind of sounds like the gain is too high somewhere, and the audio is overdriven. Is this a problem at the carrier? I'm trying to call them now, but it's Sunday morning in the sticks, and my chances of

[1.6] Where to put "options wctdm opermode"?
Hello The Ubuntu Asterisk package doesn't install /etc/modprobe.d/dahdi.conf, so I was wondering where to put the following line: ======= options wctdm opermode=FRANCE ======= Should it be in /etc/dahdi/modules? ======= options wctdm opermode=FRANCE ======= Thank you.

wctdm module won't load after kernel upgrade
Hi all, I have installed a TDM22B on an IBM xSeries 220 with FedoraCore 3 and setup asterisk cvs head to work properly. A few days ago, I tried to update the system kernel to 2.6.12 from 2.6.9 and also to change to asterisk stable 1.0.9. After compiling zaptel and asterisk, i loaded zaptel and tried to load the wctdm module but this failed with the following message: Notice: Configuration file

WCTDM/Zaptel memory leak
I have a bit of a memory leak in Asterisk 1.2, but only when using an analogue card (TDM400 or equivalent) and wctdm + zaptel Asterisk eventually grows over a period of days/months (depending on how busy it is) then crashes and burns. I've seen it with all versions of asterisk up to 1.2.31, but only ever with an analogue card fitted, using wctdm. VoIP only, or systems with ISDN2 and

issue with ivtv & wctdm zaptel drivers (TDM PCI Master abort)
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with my x86_64 machine containing a Hauppauge PVR-500 (ivtv) and a Digium TDM400p (wctdm, part of zaptel) PCI cards. Independently of each other both cards work fine, but once the wctdm driver is loaded and mythtv tries to record something on the PVR-500 the wctdm driver freaks out. The error message is see is "TDM PCI Master abort" printed over and
