cvs commit: src/sys/dev/twe twe.c twe_compat.h twe_freebsd.c twe_tables.h tweio.h twereg.h twevar.h
Hi,
Thank you for your work on this card! I have quite a few boxes
that run various 3wares cards with diverse firmware revs. Are there any
caveats with respect to models and firmware versions in terms of how they
might interact ?

state of ide raid
Hello,
While shopping for another 3Ware card, I found that this market has gotten
much larger since I bought my 6500. So I started looking at the various
cards while browsing the hardware notes for FreeBSD 4.8 and 5.1.
So I'm wondering if anyone can provide some insight here.
-3Ware has a whole new series of cards. The twe(4) manpage states that
only 5xxx and 6xxx series cards are

INETD Question.
I'm currently running version 2.0.7 of samba(CIFS9000). I have HPUX 11.x
installed on the samba server. When I try to run this from inetd it doesn't
work. I can run a startup script that runs the smbd as a daemon and it works
fine. But if I try to run it from inetd it won't start. The previous version
of Samba 1.9.18p10 that I had on this server worked fine. Is this a bug in

Two possible vulnerabilities?
Dear all,
Browsing through the securityfocus vulnerability database I found
two items, that might interesting for the FreeBSD community:
1. GNU GNATS Syslog() Format String Vulnerability
http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/10609
GNATS is vital part of the PR handling of FreeBSD. I think security
officers should contact developers of GNU GNATS about this issue to resolve
the potential problem.

problems with DFS
Hi,
We have been a samba shop since way back and have used DFS quit a lot the
last years.
When we went with security ads instead of domain our dfs died.
We have tried 3.028(sun) in solaris wich we are leaving and 3.2.1 in linux,
our migration target.
For our 3.2.1 installation the config looks liket this and the problem
manifests itself as a empty share.

[Thinkwave] Run-time error 429: ActiveX
I am working to transition a primary school to Linux on the desktop. So far, the only stop I've encountered is getting their gradebook software to run. They use ThinkWave Educator. You can d/l the app here; http://www.thinkwave.org/Downloads/twe28132.exe
I would appreciate any help and pointers. Thank you

FreeBSD 6.0 panics - sbdrop
Hi,
I've encountered a strange problem while using FreeBSD 6.0 for our local mirror (mirror.math.uni-bielefeld.de) and thus is providing access via ftp, http, rsync and cvsup (all local and remote).
The system crashes periodically with a kernel panic (panic: sbdrop).
The uptimes between two crashes are going from a few hours to a few weeks.
The system is a i386, Intel Pentium 4 based with

smartd and 3ware on centos5
Hi,
I've CentOS5 box with 3ware RAID controller in it. I can't get the
tw_cli command line tool to work, and smartd also barks on me. The
tw_cli simply doesn't see the controller, no errors logged anywhere.
When starting smartd, it is much more verbose. I'm getting a bunch of
messages like this:

Samba and XP - Updated Registry - Still no go
One user on our church network is using XP Home Edition. I updated the
registry as I have seen posted on various sites.
He is still not able to connect. I have the feeling it is because he has
joined a "workgroup" and not a "domain". I am able to change the workgroup
name but I can't seem to figure out how to join a domain instead.
Is there a restriction that the

xen-c6 fails to boot
Hi all,
Following instructions at http://wiki.centos.org/QaWiki/Xen4 to setup Xen on CentOS 6.4. Unfortunately after installing Xen and modifying the boot line there is a kernel panic during the boot process causing the host to enter a reboot loop. Console log attached.

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: use drm debug levels
- Use driver level (0x2) for NV_DEBUG instead of all levels
- Create a NV_DEBUG_KMS for KMS level (04) and use them in modesetting code
- Remove a few odd NV_TRACE calls and replace with NV_DEBUG_KMS
