Speex hardware requirements?
Hi evrybody,
I wonder witch hardware requirements it is for speex decoding
(especially 16kHz mono sound).
Could it be possible to use the Gameboy advance hardware if you added a
FPU? or dose it need to be more powerfull?

Problems with samba AD
Hi there,

I'm currently trying samba 4 as an Active Directory Domain Controller on a Debian Jessie server. I don't find a solution to two problems, maybe somebody can help me.
?
First on I can't get anaonymous login (Guest) working. I'm able to log on account nobody by using smbclient, but when trying to logon from a Windows 7 or 8 client, authentification is not working.

Speex hardware requirements?
Compared to todays PDAs the GameBoy Advance (GBA) is low spec. it has a
16MHz ARM7tdmi RISC processor. 32-bit but it can handle 16-bit
instructions in a mode that resembles "bytecode" (a 32-bit instruction
is executed using a 16-bit instruction). I got a feeling that the GBA
would need a FPU.
For more information on the GBA visit this info page:

Speex hardware requirements?
Also, you would be sattisfied with the narrowband decoding because the
GBA sound quality isn't very good, however, that depends greatly on what
you're going to do with speex on a GBA.... (an RPG with audio dialogs?
;-)) also, using a DSP in a GBA Cartridge sounds like overkill to me,
however, that depends greatly on what are you developing and what's your
target audience....

enabling interleaved access loop vectorization
Thanks Ayal!
I'll take a look at DENBench.
As another data point - I tried enabling this on our internal benchmarks.
I'm seeing one regression, and it seems to be a regression of the "good"
kind - without interleaving we don't vectorize the innermost loop, and with
interleaving we do. The vectorized loop is actually significantly faster
when benchmarked in isolation, but in

RFC: Modernizing our use of auto
I'm not advocating AAA.
However this is a proposal for more modern thinking regarding the
permissiveness of auto in LLVM codebases.
Currently the rule on the use of auto is here:
https://llvm.org/docs/CodingStandards.html#use-auto-type-deduction-to-make-code-more-readable
It is quite strict. It allows the use of auto for
* lambdas
* iterators because they are long to type
* casts to

enabling interleaved access loop vectorization
Hi Ayal, Elena,
I'd really like to enable this by default.
As I wrote above, I didn't see any regressions in internal benchmarks, and
there doesn't seem to be anything in SPEC2006 either. I do see a
performance improvement in an internal benchmark (that is, a real
workload).
Would you be able to provide an example that gets pessimized? I have no
doubt you've seen regressions

'm trying to setup an icecast server.
It works, bu I want to test how many clients it can serve.

One source sent by darkice (can't make ices2 working)
The problem is: "The server can't serve more than 1020 clients, because of a file limit"

I'm not a newbie to rsync and have checked the archives without getting
any useable conclusions.
Our old server works great - a redhat 7.2 / 2.4.18 machine. But it's
getting full and there's no more updates for

codec issues
We've bought the G729 codec for lowering SIP bandwidth usage (we're
using grandstream phones) and we're quite happy with it up until I tried
using IAXPhone 0.2.0 build 116 with my asterisk 1.0.0 installations.
Weirdly enough, calls from IAXphone to the GS phone work just fine.
So are calls from both phones to voicemail. And from both phones to
analog phones connected to FXS ports.
