iozone remove_suid oops...
Having done a current checkout, creating a new FS and running iozone
[1] on it results in an oops [2]. remove_suid is called, accessing
offset 14 of a NULL pointer.
Let me know if you''d like me to test any fix, do further debugging or
get more information.
Thanks,
Daniel

plotting segments only and in color
Hello,
I've a question concerning the display of interval data.
A sample dataset where X is an interval between Xa and Xb
which should be displayed:
Y=c(15,14,23,18,19,9,19,13)
Xa=c(17,22,21,18,19,25,8,19)
Xb=c(22,22,29,34,19,26,17,22)
X = (Xa+Xb)/2
It's easily possible to plot the mean of the interval like:
plot(X,Y)
afterwards I can create lines for the interval with:

Primary Keys enforcement vanishes in test database
I use this naming convention for primary keys:
ActiveRecord::Base.primary_key_prefix_type
= :table_name_with_underscore
I generate the MySQL test database: rake db:test:prepare, and although
the column is there there is no primary key enforcement/index and no
autoincrement (so activerecord saves fail). Is this a bug? What is
the best workaround?

Improving the PageRank of individual wiki pages
Hi,
Let me first stress that the success of the wiki is tight to how many
users find it as a resource. And that users will only find the wiki for
their problems if it has a higher PageRank.
(I am using PageRank as an example, other search engines would do
better if we can implement some changes overall.)
If we take the HowTos/Laptops/Wireless page as an example, the page is not

Samba + Quickbooks
This is set up with Win2K boxes sharing a QB file on a SAMBA share. It may
be quite different than with 95-98x-ME(Miserable Edition).
There are two or more problems - one thing I identified is that it is
possible for two computers to connect to the QB(QuickBooks) share using the
same quick books logon - something that will cause data corruption.
(Something that could have been easily

Increasing NFS Performance
Greetings all-
I have a CentOS 5 (Final) system that is serving up content to several other hosts via NFS. The amount of data transferred is rather small as most of the files are under 100kb and each export has maybe 100 files that are accessed regularly. I'm finding that as I add more hosts accessing the NFS server, the performance seems to be getting poorer. There are obvious delays when

intermittent access this week
Hey team,
I'll be at sea on and off this week, and as such my Internet access will
depend on wifi availability while in port. 22a seems stable, but if any
critical problems arise, feel free to prepare a release and bug Alfie
to upload it.
On the brighter side, I expect to be extremely bored while offline so I'll
probably get some logcheck work done. <:
Cheers,

the integration of the functions of asterisk, with one pabx legacy
(Avaya)for that pabx avaya, could use the voicemail of asterisk. For sample,
user of pabx avaya, it would have its calls directed for not attendance and
busy, for asterisk and asterisk, it would send the same one for the
voicemail.
Best Regards

Help removing many users
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Can anyone brighter than me think of an easy way to remove MANY users
from an smbpasswd file (I have a list of users that can be removed, some
of which may already be missing, some of which may be present)? I cannot
use smbpasswd -x in a loop. Is there some easy way to do this?

Can't login to Samba PDC
We're trying to migrate from a windows NT domain to a Samba domain. I've
installed Samba 3.0.2a with an LDAP backend. The server seems to be running
fine as I can browse the shares from a non-domain Win2k workstation after a
successful password check. The workstations join the domain just fine but
after I join them to the domain I can't log in to them. I've checked my

Update peer IP address
Hello
I use Asterisk 11 with FreePBX 12. Our SIP Provider is Telekom Germany. We have sometimes problems with incoming and outgoing calls. I hope I can explain it understandable.
For example, Asterisk sends a REGISTER to 217.0.23.68 (tel.t-online.de <http://tel.t-online.de/>), the message is answered with OK and the peer is registered.
Usually INVITES comes now from this ip address. All

# Transfers.
So I have read and read and read... google is my friend and the wiki is
by brother...
However, I am still unclear on what the preferred method of using the
pound sign is.
If the Pound sign is set aside for Transfer.. Then when I make an
outbound call to my bank I can not "Enter my PIN followed by Pound"
Likewise if I turn off the ability to transfer when initiating a call,

Partition results based on field
Hello all
I''m using Ferret for a site wide search where I have several kinds of
(similar) objects in a central index (using a "type" field containing
the class name). This works great, and I can search all objects with one
query.
What I''d like to do now is to limit the results so that there will be a
maximum of 10 (or 5 or whatever) results for each type.. I

Update peer IP address
Hello Sebastian,
I had already seen this list of the hosts, but it is not active. All servers with which my Asterisk has been communicated are not listed.
A port scan, to eventually update the list, found hundreds of servers provided in the address range 217.0.0.0/13 with open port 5060, some were even not found. I think there must be another solution.
If I change insecure to
