Adding another channel to a Dial() already in progress
Greetings all, I've been brainstorming an application that would take an incoming call and present it to several interfaces, some of which would be external to the system. So, a call comes into the * on a PRI DID and then will dial out to the user's desk phone, as well as their cell phone, home phone, cottage, whatever. Whomever answers first gets the call. No big deal so far,

does it make sense to run rsync over ftp (curlftpfs)?
Hi, It seems to work but very slowly. I guess it's because rsync has to read the complete file content on the remote host, so does it make any sense at all to do it over FTP? ----- -- Kent Tong Wicket tutorials freely available at http://www.agileskills2.org/EWDW Axis2 tutorials freely available at http://www.agileskills2.org/DWSAA -- View this message in context:

filesystem failure on one peer makes volume read only?
.. is this default/desired behaviour? And is this configurable/controllable behaviour? I'm thinking - it would be nice not to have whole vol go read-only(three peers in cluster) but at the same time have gluster alert/highlight the problem to a user/admin. ver. 3.10.3 thanks. L.

Bug: more than one Port line in host file crashes tincd
I found a tincd crash caused by having two "Port" statements in a host's file. I realize this is a bug in an old version of tinc that may be fixed but I spent the past few hours tracking it down so I'm sharing it in hopes others can make use of this info. I was "cleaning" up my Tinc VPN of a collection of OpenWrt routers and tincd started crashing with "Got fatal

separation depending on equal contents in more than one field
Hi, I have a dataframe: (obs <- data.frame(a=c(1,2,2,3,3,3), b=c(1,2,3,4,4,5), c=1:2)) attach(obs) In reality its about 1 million rows. Some of the datasets have same contents in col a and! b like row 4 and 5. I want to do some calculations on col c within the duplicated rows and merge them afterwards: layer <- function(x) round((1-prod(1-x/100))*100,0) (covnew <- aggregate(c,

More than one account from the same provider?
I have had good success with my efforts to send faxes over voip using ulaw, surprisingly, and I want to move it from testing to reality. I have an account with Teliax, who have been very good. For voice I use g729 and ulaw, but for faxing I can only allow ulaw. However, Teliax only sets the codec preferences by account. I have another account, but I can't see a way to register two accounts

README paths to ftp and CVS
ftp should be: ftp://ftp.zytor.com/pub/linux/klibc/ instead of: ftp://ftp.zytor.com/pub/linux/libs/klibc/ CVS says: http://www.zytor.com/cvsweb.cgi/klibc/ but that's broken. ===== Jon Smirl jonsmirl@yahoo.com __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? FTP-to-CVS instructions
There's one section missing from the instructions for downloading a tarball via FTP and migrating it to cvs. I speak, of course, of the paragraph that explains that so many files end up missing this way that after three tries you will give up, rm -rf wine, do a full cvs -z 3 checkout wine, and kick youself hard for not just doing a full checkout in the first place because then you'd have

One way audio - it doesn't make sense
Hi, I've had a bit of a problem with one way audio, and it happens exactly when I believe it shouldn't (and works perfectly when I would guess I could have issues. Setup: GrandStream GXP2000-------Linksys Router-----------Internet------Asterisk box (hosted somewhere, fixed IP, no NAT) ----------- VoIP provider -------PSTN When a call comes in from the PSTN, the call goes all the way

latest cvs head makes api more strongly typed
In previous versions the following would work as you expect with a dynamic language like Ruby. Method signature of wxGrid::SetRowLabelSize void SetRowLabelSize(int width) ex. gird = Wx::Grid.new(....) grid.set_row_label_size(some_value*0.5) which Ruby translates to gird = Wx::Grid.new(....) grid.set_row_label_size((some_value*0.5).to_i) In the latest cvs head you get this error:

More than one value of Y for each value of X (Model I regression)
Dear readers, Is it possible to compute a Model I regression (Sokhal & Rolf 1995) in R where there is more than one value of Y for each value of X? While I'm Thinking About metaflac...
Thanks Graue. That makes sense. Like I said - it's not causing a problem, I was just curious what it was doing. -Brad On 4/15/07, Graue <graue@oceanbase.org> wrote: > > "Brad Leblanc" <brad.leblanc@gmail.com> wrote: > > > While I'm playing around with it, I'd like to ask about something I've > > noticed. > > > > Sometimes

Problems with FTP to one host
Using Mandrake 9.2, shorewall 1.4.6c. Everything was working fine until one of the web servers I manage content for (my astronomy club, http://www.starastronomy.org) was "upgraded" to the newset win2K. All of a sudden I can FTP into the machine, but I can''t "ls" or "put" files. I *can* do these things if I turn off my policy of "DROP" for net to fw

While I'm Thinking About metaflac...
While I'm playing around with it, I'd like to ask about something I've noticed. Sometimes when I use metaflac to add tags, it performs it's operation instantly in a split second. Other times the same command causes lot of HDD I/O's and I can see it create a "filename.flac.metadata_edit" temp file. For example - I just added tags to a 25MB file and it took 15 seconds
