Re: Use NTFS Partition. -- only applies to same disk ...
From: Mark Jarvis <mark.jarvis at pvmail.maricopa.edu> > HUH? FAT32 problem??? No, it's a geometry issue on legacy BIOS/DOS Disk Labels (Partition Table Format) aka "Basic Disc" in NT5+ (2000+) when both NT and Linux share the disk for booting. Microsoft never standardized how geometry should be handled after NT4.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4) other than using legacy LBA32 --

Re: Fix passwd/shadow/group files? -- Samba 3.0 v. ADS v. CIFS
From: Feizhou > You assume too much and you are not clear enough in what > you post. You didn't even know what a KDC was, so my assumptions were pretty easy to make. You keep saying "Samba, Samba, Samba" over and over like Samba does it all. It does _not_. > Geez....I've been trying to get whether you are saying there was a way > to do the whole ADS DC thing

Re: Fix passwd/shadow/group files? -- network architecture is always piecemeal
From: Feizhou > I know what a Kerberos authentication system is. > You mean a core component in Samba 3.0's functionality as an ADS client. You're still artificially limiting your understanding. Kerberos (with the MS extensions in the case of 200x/XP) is how objects authenticate each other and grant tickets for access in a Kerberos realm. Samba can use Kerberos how it sees fit.

Troubles with Windows Me Registry in latest CVS
I'm having a problem that I'm not sure the cause of. I've never had a problem with wineinstall until recently. I have full read/write access to my Windows partition and wineinstall can see it. However it fails to find the Windows registry for some reason. I'm running Windows Me, on that partition. For Linux I'm running Redhat 7, and latest CVS. Here's the messages I get.

rspec for the svn-less (ruby version)
A couple of things: - it is defaulted to 1.0.5, but if there was a "current" I could probably use that instead. - it seems like everyone might not use the rspec_on_rails piece...what do other think? - there are some other checks I could put in here, suggestions are welcome. - general code suggestions are welcome as well.
